I like this page… It’s just so…sweet…
Eisu seems to have captured the awkwardness of the whole situation. The “intimacy” of the bed but the “innocence” of laying on top of the covers fully clothed.
No real expectations, but the promise of possibility.
Besides, lets be honest folks…they don’t really know each other and I don’t think either of them is really in the mood to move fast enough to pull back the sheets–so to speak…

I love the emotion in Stasia’s eyes in the last panel. Almost like I’m looking at a real person.
I’ll bet the next panel has a huge blush scene… Like where they get really close (about to kiss) or they have a “moment” of staring into each others eyes and trying to unravel the very threads that string their thoughts and personality together…. And then Parker bangs on the door and yells something Parker-ish. Lol.

Ok, let’s analyze that grin in the last panel: Several parts happy, a few parts flirting, and one part up to no good.
If a girl approached me on Valentine’s day with that grin, I’d probably stay around to see what would happen.
If someone, however, came near me on April Fool’s Day with that very same grin, I’d run like h*ll.

i love this page. I dont feel like Guy is clueless or oblivious to Stasias possible advances, I get the feeling that he is just a gentleman. And asking him to lay down next to her is a little forward so the whole “why?” thing seems appropriate especially from the angle in panel 2, its rather sexual, all that curvy hip all over the place! ^_^
He seems to have his head on right and has got a hold of the situation rather well so I think he is just being cautious.
I think they well get interrupted mainly because Parker is a pain and secondly because it looks like the book hit the window which could bring unwanted attention… of course I’m just speculating…awesome page ^_^

Gotta go with the crowd on this one. Love the flirtatiousness of Stasia, the atmosphere they’ve got going on there and the way Guy is handling it all. Love the story and the artwork. I love it all! ^-^
There is no way that Guy is not aware of the vibes Stasia is putting out. He may be a nerd but he’s not clueless. I just love how Stasia keeps pouring on the charm and Guy keeps acting like he doesn’t notice. And yet despite ignoring her advances he is not ignoring her. He’s being quite friendly and as helpful as he can be at this point. I think he likes her but he’s not about to rush into anything despite what Stasia might want.
Hmm… I wonder what honeymoon rumors are starting to circulate on the web about them right now?

Maybe she likes the idea of a regular Guy who’s not made of bloated ego and rich lifestyle. Maybe Guy is just too nice to take advantage of a girl impulsive enough to marry someone she doesn’t know on a whim. Definitely, Stasia is a born cute flirt, and Guy is flirting the way geeks know how. Acting oblivious.

For the record, I generally dislike anime/comics/whatever the proper term is, and I am generally loathe to use exclamation points or otherwise express enthusiasm for anything in particular.
With that said, I’m a new reader, I love it! It’s awesome! Keep up the good work, and if it ever does get made into a movie, I’m insisting all my friends go see it.

O thats it im gonna start and argument about there not being an argument….. joking really i am, but ya i have to say i have noticed a slight change in the artistic style of the comic since page one and its becoming more defined yet at the same time more shady i dunno how to explain it but its very cool. In a sense reminds me of the early style of Gone With Blastwave.

First post, readed this from the start.
We all are expecting that some one is going to burst in and pop the little bubble of strange …euhm… sorta calm and happyness.
But why? cant they just talk a little more and fall a sleep during the progress? or atleast Stasia. She just did a concert! thats would be so sweet! Stasia falling a sleep and Guy pulling some sheets over her as he quitly walks out the room to go find parker or so…

Re: Interruption or not. It really depends on whether the comic is aiming to be primarily romance or comedy. For comedy, an interruption while they’re accidentally in something resembling a compromising position is a must. For romance they should get the time alone together. (Even romantic comedies have to choose one master they serve first and foremost).
Even without Bobby’s comment, I was going to guess the priority was the romance, and the comedy is a secondary (though still important) aim.

It’s primarily a comedy, but that doesn’t really have anything to do with whether they get interrupted right now or not. I mean, they were just interrupted once already like one minute ago. Being interrupted a second time so soon would just be annoying, really. Also, I’m confused by all the comments acting like this is such a romantic moment. Don’t think it’s nearly romantic enough yet for an interruption to have much significance. In this page they’re basically just talking to each other about boring things. This is more of a relaxing moment (for the audience at least) where things have calmed down a bit.

Wishful thinking, maybe, but we’ll see.
Llike others have said, I’m not sure he’s oblivious. “I can help you, I’m a high school guidance councilor (paraphrase, obviously)” sounds like he sees her having a breakdown and wouldn’t want to take advantage of her, especially after Parker just brought up how easy it could be. Another thing - Stasia’s being flirty, sure, but -

- I’m seeing a lot of comments in this vein, and I don’t think she looks that aggressive? There’s tension, yes, but it’s -almost- innocent at this stage (I’m having a hard time expressing myself here - sorry, not a writer - and innocent’s not really the right word. It’s just that, although they are lying on the bed together, they still seem to be at the talking stage). I would be very surprised if something happens on the next page. Though I could be wrong. *shrug*

As Tom and Bobby said, this really seems more casual. She wants to get to know him better. He wants to understand her better (he was reading her autobiography until a moment ago, and now he’s having a discussion with her). Like some people I know, he shrugs off his own life story as boring. Ya, seems casual. Heck, I’ve had the same discussion Guy and Stasia are having now with relatives who I hadn’t met in ages (ie: I tell you about me, you tell me about you, it just so happens that we’re on a bed while we talk, etc). Casual.

I just started reading this today, and I just got to end, so far. So sad… will just have to keep checking for one page at a time! You’ve got a new fan. Love the look on Stasia’s face for the past two days; she’s got this sweet, dreamy, even innocent “I’m ready to fall in love now” light in her eyes. It seems to embody all her hopes that completely skipping the dating and boyfriend stages has definitely been the best way to go.
Thanks for finally having something quality under the search engine terms “marry me”. Sometimes I just have to type it in to see what comes up — first time I’ve been so pleased. Spectacularly original idea!

When I first read this I thought it was along the lines of what Bobby’s saying… I can kind of see where the people saying ’she’s a flirt, he’s a nerd’ are coming from, but I still agree with Bobby- it seems like her motivation more stems from the ‘I’m serious about this marriage thing’ part of her than the ‘He’s pretty cute’ part of her.

Okay, I got the scripts a couple of days ago, but I was having a hard time trying to figure out a good layout that can fit the art and the dialogues, so that’s why it’s been taking some time. But I’ve finally figured it out so there will be a Thursday update!

Hey Bobby, I do agree with you on the subject of some people just not using their brains, but I think after the amount of comments like that, you should just not respond anymore. I bet that most of them don’t even read previous comments, which is why they repeat stupid arguments (obvious though, or at least I think it should be).
Just delete them and forget them. They’re not worth the time.
