Nah…he will….it’s been a weird day for him, lots of stress, he’s been reading and there is a beautiful girl next to him and no chance to be with….he’s asleep.
as great as this comic is *and i do enjoy it* it just seems to have become more of a random click in amongst the other 15 web comics I read *some of which don’t update often either*
but anyway I do look forward to seeing more of this *just maybe a little sooner then later* sorry :þ
You know, if this conversation went on for as long as the entire previous story up-to this point, I’d be just fine with it. It’s a great moment. Play it for all it’s worth. Great list of heros, by the way.
Eris: There will definitely be a full graphic novel printed, yes. That’s the main reason for the entire project, to have the final graphic novel. I’m not sure if we’ll print other smaller issues before then, but we might.
Heh, Stasia’s really acts like a little child. “I’m a rockstar, I can do what I want!”
Making rules up as much as she wants… I would be annoyed if it wasn’t so damn cute!
And somehow Guy sounds a lot like me when I have an ‘argument’ with friends. xP
I can’t wait to hear him talk about himself. X3
My hero is Yukari from Azumanga Daioh (haha, nerd). Because, really, if there’s one thing I want out of life, it’s to teach English to a bunch of Japanese kids who are probably smarter than me and be rivals/best friends with the PE teacher. Yaaaay~
Or wait, does that make her my role model? I forget. ^^;
My hero is Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing.
>.>
no. I just wanted to play more on redundancy, yay.
Seriously though, my hero is my dad. I can only hope to become as unique and good a person as him.
Bobby, you are seriously rockin’ the dialogue, and Eisu as always is rockin’ the art, especially those amazing facial expressions!
Can’t wait for the next page.
Shuzuko, Heero Yuy is my hero aswell but ya got to spell it right. Ya hes a good hero to just cause he knows what he needs to fight for after what hes already done. But ya i like how the story is progressing but we need to make a betting pool on what will happen next lol. Again Eisu and bobby great jobs.
Umm… Poe would be one of my heroes, had he drunk less. Still I wish I could write like him. Rossetti would be one of my heroes, had he not used drugs. Still I wish I could paint like him. Wagner would be one of my heroes, if I had any hope I can ever stop being tone-deaf. Klingsor would be one of my heroes if he wasn’t already me. But first and most of all Hecate would be my hero (heroine?) if the title “hero” wasn’t far far too low for Her.
As it is, I’m heroless.
Can I borrow yours?
Guy’s and Stasia’s faces are full of emotions, thats why I love this comic so damn much! You can really tell how the characters are saying what they want to say (I hope that makes sense). I’m already on the edge of my seat waiting for the next page! Keep up the awesome work Bobby!
Proxess: All facial expressions credit goes to Eisu! Well, 95% at least. I describe their expressions, but the tough part is actually drawing those descriptions. Glad you’re liking the comic so much. Working on writing Page 40 right now, will hopefully finish it within the next few hours.
Seriously? The next few hours?! I think I’m going to mount a tent in front of my computer and patiently camp waiting for the next page… best get a thermal ready!
By the way, I’d have to say that my hero is actually a group of people: those who chase dreams. Like Bobby and Eisu. Doing something risky; trying something not considered the “norm” and doing their best at it.
What was it Kipling said? “If you can make a heap of all your winnings and risk it in one game of pitch and toss” … thank you both for taking a risk here.
Audrey Hepburn and Stan Lee are my heroes. Audrey because she was more glamorous and elegant than I could ever hope to be and Stan because he created the best comic books ever (no offense, I still like this one lots ^.^).
“Also you guys get like twelve ‘not a cute, shallow highschool lesbian comic’ points if the joke isn’t her falling asleep.”
It’s not necessarily “the joke” — it’s just what needs to happen, really. I think I said a while back that she’d fall asleep soon here, maybe in the comments of the previous page.
“I don’t know what it is, but this looks a lot more detailed then the past few. kudos to Eisu.”
Lucretiel, the page just seems more busy than the past few because there are extra panels and more dialogue. :]
And huuyah for being a first time poster, long-time comments-reader.
As for my hero, hmm. I have no idea. I used to say it was my brother, but now well… well I’m stumped. Or I just can’t think straight at 5:50 in the AM with lack of sleep. I’ll get back to this.
Otherwise, as 9023842 other people have said already about Bobby’s and Eisu’s work: (b ‘ ‘)b
At this point in writing, I’d say probably Henry Rollins, Daniel Gildenlöw of Pain of Salvation, and Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke, all three of whom I’m convinced are literal geniuses. (I’ve been heavy into music lately.) Probably have more, but can’t think of them now.
My hero? My second wife, Jody. She worked at a foster home for children, talking to the kids late at night when they couldn’t sleep … she was generous, kind-hearted, pulled me out of my depression after my first marriage broke up, didn’t let me get away with BS, and, not to put too fine a point on it, rocked my world.
Sadly, she lost her fight with cancer just before she turned 43. The years I spent with her made a huge change in my life, and I try to live up to the example she set.
Sloppy? I’m not seein’ it. The art kicks ass as always. The scritping is really adorable too. Sometimes I just can’t believe the cranky guy who posts here under the name of Bobby Crosby is actually the same guy who writes the script. ^_^
I have to agree with DoctorsCompanion. The Doctor is my hero too, as is Washuu from Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Universe, etc. Can’t help it, I just love crazed super-geniuses who save the day when they’re not busy blowing stuff up. =D
I love Hiro! He’s the best! Except for Peter, but really, they’re pretty much tied for the best.
Hmm… my hero… is anyone who’s strong enough to survive I guess.
Anyways, I love the commic, I’ve been reading it for a while now and it’s really great. I think you have a unique idea that I haven’t seen anywhere else. So great job and keep going!
Heroes then? I have a few. My first drawing teacher and my first painting teacher. Both of them are amazing. And a good number of my teachers I still keep up with and hope to be like one day. And my best friend Katy. And as far as a few more famous people: Mrs. L’Engle because I love her writing so much. And Beethoven’s music and life, and just reading William Faulkner and Flannery O’Conner and Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein and…
I could go on for days, but I really think I should stop. I’ve already left too many people out. And I haven’t even touched on imaginary heroes… Like Calvin and Hobbes!
Awesome page y’all! They are always worth the wait.
Sean Connery is my hero all the way maybe throw in a little Bruce Lee. Huray for a new comic strip to brighten up my day and huray for the awsome team that is Bobby and Eisu.
Also the scroll bar for the comic strips at the top i dont know if its just cause of my Resolution screwin with ur button (1440×900) but its almost completely under the comic.
No, seriously, Batman IS my hero. XD I’m wearing a Batman shirt as I type this, in fact.
Awesome, as ALWAYS. I really eagerly await every single word and line. Wonderful, you two.
Oh, also? I am absolutely in awe of how many different angles there are on this page. As a fellow comic book artist, I know how hard it is to do scenes like this - it’s a struggle to make all the panels interesting and fresh. I really admire the work on this page, especially. It must not have been easy.
I’d have to say my main hero is Captain Jack Harkness. Dude, the acrobat twins? Awesome. Tank Girl is definitely another hero. And who could forget Robin Goodfellow, and Jezebel from Count Cain, and whoever wrote the little monster pop-up books.
I’m most impressed. Though I need to gripe one tiny thing [that won’t stop me from reading but it’s still something to note]
Saying MWF and then updating bi-monthly seems kind of like a ‘ploy’ to reel readers in. I know it’s not intentional or ill-natured but some people may think so. [like one known as BS]
I think just mentioning that it randomly updates or what not would decide who the ‘true’ readers [who’d stick around no matter what, like me] are. I for one love the anime-ish style and the like and I think it deserves more readers [as well as a faster update, dur, that’s just me ^_^]
My hero’s gotta be Zorro. I used to watch the old black and white TV show. Consiquentially, when the movie came out I fell in love with Antonio Banderas ^__^; Jackie Chan’s pretty kick-ass too…
And Josh D has a point; the archive bar/scroll bar whatever it is is completely under the comic for me too. My res. is totally different from his, so I dont think its a res. problem… Just thought I’d mention it too..
Injecting politics wasn’t a good idea, IMHO. Bobby Kennedy was a lefty, and Wesley Clark, in addition to being a lefty, has, shall we say … issues. You’re alienating half the population by making Guy a leftist Democrat. Hollywood may like it, but even they *try* to keep that sort of thing out of it.
There’s a reason why we don’t know how Superman or Wolverine votes. It would have been better to keep his politics to himself — know him by what he does.
Otherwise, I really love the comic. Now, however, everyone will be seeing what Guy does through a filter.
“Bobby Kennedy was a lefty, and Wesley Clark, in addition to being a lefty, has, shall we say … issues. You’re alienating half the population by making Guy a leftist Democrat.”
LOL, you’re pretty funny and completely wrong. You obviously don’t know anything about those two people if you think someone would have to be a “leftist Democrat” to have them as heroes. Bobby Kennedy is still a hero to millions of people of all political affiliations, many of which, especially the children, have no idea which party he was even in, similar to Abraham Lincoln, who I’m sure you wouldn’t have complained about in this way if Guy listed him as a hero. And you obviously like to believe liars about Wesley Clark’s “issues,” but, among other things, he commanded the NATO operation that saved 1.5 million people from ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, and Guy is from Oklahoma and Oklahoma was the only primary that Clark won in 2004, so he’s very popular there.
Ash Williams (from the 2nd and 3rd movies). How can you hate a guy that fights evil with a double barrel and a chansaw hand?
The Punisher (from the comics. The movie version seemed a too skinny and too whiny). Shares his pain with others, one bullet at a time.
Guts from Berserk. Destiny says he has to die? He’s not gonna take that lying down. He’ll cut his crimson swath through anything he comes across to change his fate, whether it be mortals, monsters, or other. And a fake left hand hiding a cannon? Whew.
These guys aren’t placed in any order.
P.S. Steinbeck, you got that whole superman/batman thing from Kill Bill 2 didn’t you?
My hero. Meh just a bunch of idiots that spend their time wondering around the world in a buncha oversised grey rowboats. Looked like so much fun I ended up rowing with them.
Great comic with good art. And I think Guy is in for a spot of trouble if he’s hoping to keep up his two year celibacy streek much longer
OMG! I love it! My heroes are William Shakespeare, when I can spell his name correctly…. um… the Flash, and Shikamaru Nara from Naruto. He’s so cool! wow… I’m such a nerd…
Batman is my hero no doubt. He owns all, no one can mess with him.
Ok ok now its time for guess the band 80’s edition
Ok I tried to make it a little tough. Here we go.
1.
I guess the boy took it one step over the line
Sold his soul to the dark unholy sign
Now, only time will tell
Will it take you down
Or will you pull through
It’s like a voice from the burning fires of hell
Selling sin
Now you’ve fallen for the spell
And only time will tell
Will it take you down
Or will you pull through
It’s calling out to you
2. Longboats have been sighted the evidence of war has begun,
Many Nordic fighting men their swords and shields all gleam in the sun,
Call to arms defend yourselves get ready to stand and fight for your lives,
Judgement day has come around so be prepared don’t run stand your ground.
3.
Wasting all our time
You mortals and your crimes
Move quick as lightning
Burning across the grease
Could be a little frightening
Mutations never cease
Superheroes
Giant freaks
Tear apart the evil
To save the weak
My hero is Xander Harris from Buffy. He rose to the challenge of making a difference as a regular Joe in a world of demons, monsters and magic. He was deeply flawed but only in the ways that normal people are flawed. Xander was somehow able to keep both his courage and his humanity in that world…and ours is sooo much safer. Inspiring!
My personal hero is Alton Brown, the host of the Food Network show Good Eats. He makes learning how to cook fun! … Also Bill Watterson, Genndy Tartaskovsky, Richard Dawkin, Shigeru Miayamoto, and Batman. Always Batman.
Hmmm, one of my heroes is Martin Luther King Jr for sheer tenacity, bravery and an amazing ability to capture people with his speeches. Ghandi for pioneering non-violent protest. Bobby Kennedy Jr for pioneering environmental law (a field I’m planning on entering). And Batman…cuz he’s cool
Awesome page. Eisu, you are the master of expressions and Bobby, you are the master of believable dialogue.
““Also you guys get like twelve ‘not a cute, shallow highschool lesbian comic’ points if the joke isn’t her falling asleep.”
It’s not necessarily “the joke” — it’s just what needs to happen, really. ”
Please please please no! This scene is so great, and that’s so horribly cliche that it will break the suspension of disbelief. Most certainly not what “needs to happen”!
Haven’t you ever had a late night conversation? Just because you’re too tired to move doesn’t mean you can’t keep talking for hours on end.
And my hero would have to be my old martial arts teacher Tim Pontalion. In his early 30’s, and already one of the most wise and humble people I’ve ever met.
“Please please please no! This scene is so great, and that’s so horribly cliche that it will break the suspension of disbelief.”
Well, the scene needs to end like immediately and that’s just the best way to do it, especially with what’s coming up next. But anyway, might switch it up a little. Your guys’s comments made me pause for a while and try to think of alternatives, and now I sort of have one, but can’t decide if it makes it better or worse.
“Haven’t you ever had a late night conversation? Just because you’re too tired to move doesn’t mean you can’t keep talking for hours on end.”
Yeah, but the scene’s gotta end. We have to very quickly get to the morning. And it’s already felt like this scene has gone on way too long.
Great page like all the others! Your story is really top notch, and Eisu’s art just fits it to a Tee….as for my hero? I think my wife is my hero, without her—I don’t know where I’d be today?
I wonder if you were to ask regular Oklahoman’s what they think of Bobby Kennedy and Wesley Clark what they would say. I think you’d get mostly “Ew,” and “Who?” as your answers. “Hero” certainly wouldn’t be on the top of the list!
“For one thing the comments are far more relaxed the those over a Last Blood!”
Ha, guess you haven’t yet read many of the comments over here, then.
“I wonder if you were to ask regular Oklahoman’s what they think of Bobby Kennedy and Wesley Clark what they would say. I think you’d get mostly ‘Ew,’ and ‘Who?’ as your answers. ‘Hero’ certainly wouldn’t be on the top of the list!”
Well, as I said before, Clark won the 2004 Oklahoma primary, one of I think only two states that Kerry didn’t win. I guess you don’t think very highly of Oklahomans if you think their memory is so bad to forget Clark and also Bobby Kennedy. It’s obviously a red state, so you’d get a ton of “ew”s, sure, but anyway, it’s not like any state is 100% for any political affiliation and Guy simply falls into the group who actually knows who Bobby Kennedy is and likes him, which I’m guessing is at least 15% of Oklahoma. And it would make him a boring character if he conformed to whatever the standard thinking is for the state he lives in, especially if that state is Oklahoma, based on your claims about that state’s residents.
If you ask most Americans why they voted on Bush, the probability of something stupid coming out of their mouths is high. Even to the president a lot of people said “Ew? Who?”.
Whoa, let’s not get into politics. Bobby explained his reasoning for choosing those people as Guy’s heroes, so we’re done with it. I’m all for everyone having their own opinion, but it’s already been proven that unfortunately, most of us aren’t mature enough to even handle discussions less volatile than politics. I like how we’ve been calm and happy so far this page, let’s keep it that way O.o
Also, artisen… what the hell are you talking about? I spelled his name right… maybe you should learn to read? -_-;
i like peter from heroes, But i have to say Trash from the book hidden talents is higher on my list. First time commenting by the way, and love this comic!
heh, Hiro rocks, i love that lil guy! XD
but i’m with Stasia; i don’t really have a hero. we had to do a talk on it in english class once and i was so embarassed to have to get up and talk about Scott Cohen who played ‘Wolf’ in the 10th Kingdom tv series.
a pretty random choice you may think, but his performance did inspire a long running fantasy series of mine called Eternity.
i don’t now why i never had a hero as such, but i can’t imagine having one. what’s the criteria for that? even someone who saved my life, i don’t know if i’d call them my ‘hero’. i guess as a term it’s a bit over-used and cliched for me.
My hero? Ooh, tough choice. I’d have to say… Scaramouche, from the musical We Will Rock You, as played by Erica Peck in Toronto. She is a bad-ass bitch with an amazing voice and she doesn’t care what people think about her. She also has a body. Like, she’s not a stick. She’s actually kind of big. She’s also pale. She’s beautiful and amazing and I want to be JUST LIKE HER.
Yeah. I’m pretty sure Aragorn is my hero. Just because. Both in the books and the movies. He’s just so mysterious and amazing and he has a SWORD. How many guys have SWORDS?
Other heroes include my mom, my older brother, my 7th grade English/History teacher, my best childhood friend, and Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket. Probably the only fictional character I currently see as a hero. All the others are more dynamic, and potentially inspirational, but not hero-worthy in my book.
I’m having a hard time guessing whether Guy named Bobby Kennedy more for his Civil Rights work or his work against the Teamsters (particularly Hoffa). Guy doesn’t seem like he’d be a big law and order person, so I’m assuming it’s more the Civil Rights aspects? Just curious.
Anyway, good list of heroes, especially Schulz! He’s on my list as well.
As far as heroes go, I’ve always looked up to Ronald Reagan and Robin Williams in addition to Schulz.
Heroes…don’t think I have a real hero. Though for fun, Iron Man. Very human flaws, but still tries to do the right thing.
As always, fantastic comic, Bobby, Eisu. :3
My Hero would be between batman and god it all matters who would win
God has the power to destroy this Universe, but Batman has the bat mobile hard decision
Pamela: superman might be able to just sit on batman, but batman will have his kryptonite ring on his middle finger waitin on superman to sit on it.
I have 2 heros,
Batman, and whoever created reeses pieces.
You know there your heros too.
Anyway here we go,
Name that band, 80’s edition .v2
Don’t use google, use your mind people.
1.
Wanted by many,
But few realize that her every move is a crime,
Ooh she’s so dangerous,
She’s gonna take me alive.
2.
Don’t it make you feel bad,
When you’re tryin to find your way home,
You don’t know which way to go?
If you’re goin down south,
They got no work to do,
If you don’t know about chicago.
3.
We hang tough when the chips are low,
Can’t buy enough so we steal the show,
We get so hot we can’t cool down,
So the hell with that were rippin through your town.
My hero is Toph, from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Yay for cartoons!
I wish this scene could go on longer, but if you have to end it, then you must.
Also…I want to say (because I’ve never commented before) that I love this comic. It’s so fun to read–the dialogue is so smooth, and the art is amazing, the characters are just as intriguing as the storyline–it’s all-around good.
I wish you would update more often ^^ (then again, I’m so bored I wish comics would update twice a day)
Hiro is a good hero. Hmm… Buuuuut… Could I pick a villian? They’re always so much cooler. Like Envy (Full Metal Alchemist) or Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII). No, wait, I want to pick Mittens. I haven’t bought or met Mittens, yet, but I WILL be buying a young female rat tomorrow, and name it Mittens. So… She’s my hero. …As well as a villian, for making me wait a day… It’s a holiday, so the good pet shop is closed.
My hero is Joseph Kittinger D: Freaking man sky dived from SPACE! 20 miles in the air! Holy nuts. In 1969, no less, where technology on that kind of stuff was scarce.
I think the key point to make here about Guy is that he is a character not a caricature. He will have illogical parts about him. Things that don’t make sense, He’ll think someone is great and like certain parts about them and ignore the parts that he doesn’t like or agree with. Not everyone who has Batman as a hero wants everyone to be a vigilante fighting / killing “villains” in the street. (not even touching the argument who is allowed to judge other people as such).
My personal opinion is that a story should be driven by the characters. Almost everything else should follow that. The “world” exists to bring out who these characters are, and let the reader become attached to them. I think that we’ve seen little glimpses of who these characters are. Frankly we’ve seen a very small slice of Parker, she’s a little crazy, and obsessed. That describes almost the entirety of her character thus far (perhaps can be easily distracted by momentous or unexpected occasions). If Stasia is the type to be so incredibly tired that she’ll just konk out, than that’s what should happen. But at the same time I feel like the bantering between Stasia and Guy as well as how they handle / respond to various situations is what’s done the lions share of describing who they are as characters. The past few times where Guy’s had Stasia’s whole attention to me seems to be where the story actually is… all this other stuff, the father, the sister, parker, etc are all just filler characters that are being used to allow the world to interact with our two main characters (not to say that more won’t appear later, just that right now everyone else isn’t very well fleshed out to the reader, given the graphic novel as the only source of information)
Oscar Wilde is my hero. He was really brilliant and witty, but in addition to that I guess he was awesome to talk to; he never looked down on other people or made them feel less intelligent. I think that’s awesome! Plus practically every line in his books is really quotable o0
Well Someone, that’s true as far as it goes, but allow me to spill a little reality into the formula. Stasia’s just been up on stage performing, a rather exhausting thing to do, after being up for who knows how long, getting prepared for the performance, pehaps travelling to the site, then this whole crazy thing happens where she up and decides to marry some random guy in the audience who was holding up a sign, then dealing with the fall-out from that rash decision… All-in-all she’s had a day. Now she’s relaxed and comfortable, nothing streesful or exciting going on… I’d be amazed if she didn’t fall asleep.
Ya know, I’m not so sure Ozzy would mind being called a Pop Music artist. Especially considering his music is just as, if not more popular than it was 20 years ago.
I’m not sure if I have a hero, I greatly admire several people but wouldn’t go as far as hero worship.
I admire:
Hugh Laurie, a talented actor, novelist and musician and English like me which makes him double the rock!
Terry Pratchett, author of the Discworld series, he’s my favourite author of the fantasy genre…English too…how incredibly diverting.
Jane Austen, created novels that are still popular today, her characters were strong women who could be admired…unlike say Paris Hilton who should have been left in prison and forgotten about. Oh my again, English…how unusual.
JK Rowling, created the most popular children’s series ever, books almost outsell the bible and they haven’t been around as long…English too, yay!
OKay I admit I’m a book worm which explains why all three are authors…the English thing is actually a coincidence, there are people all over the world I admire but these four are the first to spring to mind.
I loved the whole “but i still have eighty questions thing” talk about precise…i pity any student who tries to not tell him everything…including the name of their first goldfish, the number of teeth they have and their opinions on Stalin’s Russia.
Like I said, it should be based on who she is. Dream Theater (band for those that don’t know them) had a concert that lasted like 5 hours or something crazy like that, drummer ended up in the hospital afterwards. Profession soccer plays run for like 45 minutes straight for 2 halves of their game (few substitutions in fifa). People that run marathons or do iron mans… I mean there are a ton of different levels of what would make a given person “tired”.
I was just taking case with the “this scene needs to end” idea. as it felt like an argument for making a movie, not one that is cogent for making a comic. If she would be tired after that, than I think that shows how much emotional wear and tear takes its toll on her. I’d bet she’s in great shape. And a 2 hours concert, even for dancing and “singing” (not sure but she probably does lip sync if she’s that active on the stage) she’s probably not that tired. Plane ride: I didn’t get jet lag on my trip to Europe (from the eastern USA) because I can fall asleep almost any time of day as needed. So again it depends on how used to it she is, how she copes with the time changes, AND how long she’s been in those time zones, I mean she only kicked over what one time zone ATL to Oklahoma? I think that it could go either way, and which way it goes will change how the reader views the “I’m not getting any sleep tonight” statement as to whether it was more a statement of fact, or a statement of intent, or wishful thinking etc…
Stasia doesn’t seem like the typical pop star. She hates performing (at least recently), she donates 97% of her profits to charity, and she cares what people besides her fans think of her. So I highly doubt she would be as cheap as lip-syncing. Just a thought.
And about the sleep-thing, she might be that tired, she might not. Different people work and act differently. It’s not really a stretch at all to think she’ll fall asleep soon. It just depends on the person.
I’ve learned that there are no heros, sure you see people performa heroic act, and you may look up to someone, but in the end there really in never been a true hero…….then again, i’m just a dark soul that have seen too much for any 20 yro.
ANOTHER AWESOME PAGE… YOU TWO REALLY KNOW WHAT CARTOONING IS ALL ABOUT… I LOVE ALL THE ASPECTS OF ALL THE CHRACTERS… YOU GUYS REALLY HAVE SOMETHING HERE…. AND I’M TOTALLY ADDICTED!!!
THNX
Yeah I think the overly optimistic posted update schedule gets on a lot of people’s nerves, but I mean seriously would you rather them spend time fixing some obviously incorrect and relatively pointless part of an otherwise functional website (knowing very little on how well versed / how involved with the details of its creation, and hence knowing little about how long said change would take) or would you prefer them to keep their efforts devoted to this project spent on the project?
-S
Joss Whedon’s little twist on heroes amuses me. First, there’s Buffy who shows how women can be or have to be strong to hold evil at bay, regardless of whether she has supernatural strength or not. Then the season 6 finale where Xander saves the world by basically being a sensitive guy and talking the problem out.
I am WAY behind, and honestly I’m not sure I’ve got a hero anyway. I think a large part of me still has sincere admiration for Zelos from Tales of Symphonia though.
Wonder Woman I played her at Six Flags America, but I’ve been a fan long before then. I still go by the Nick Name “Double W” and find my self standing and acting like her. One of my Dreams is to meet Lyda Carter the actress from the tv series, but I’m not psycho about it like some people. Shes a great actress and as a student of theatre I’d love to soak up a few pearls of wisdom.

I love it!
Another great page! The writing, the art! All of it! You two make a great team!
Heh…”I can do what ever I want. I’m a rock star.”
A great line! I can imagine just how she’d say it too!
August 2nd, 2007 at 8:39 pm
I know Batman is my hero!
This is so cute! Keep up the awesome work!
August 2nd, 2007 at 8:44 pm
I don’t know what it is, but this looks a lot more detailed then the past few. kudos to Eisu.
Firs7 po5t
August 2nd, 2007 at 8:52 pm
It’s the closeups he’s doing. I can see what he was saying about all the dialogue - there’s a lot in this one. Batman’s my hero too.
August 2nd, 2007 at 8:57 pm
You lie, sir.
The first post belongs to me alone!
Oh, and great comic etc.
August 2nd, 2007 at 9:21 pm
5 dollars says she falls asleep before he begins to tell her.
August 2nd, 2007 at 9:46 pm
Nah…he will….it’s been a weird day for him, lots of stress, he’s been reading and there is a beautiful girl next to him and no chance to be with….he’s asleep.

as great as this comic is *and i do enjoy it* it just seems to have become more of a random click in amongst the other 15 web comics I read *some of which don’t update often either*
but anyway I do look forward to seeing more of this *just maybe a little sooner then later* sorry :þ
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:14 pm
Isn’t Batman everyone’s hero?
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:18 pm
You know, if this conversation went on for as long as the entire previous story up-to this point, I’d be just fine with it. It’s a great moment. Play it for all it’s worth. Great list of heros, by the way.
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:20 pm
Woo hoo update, this is a great comic! It’s one of my favorites too, I just wish it updated more. But that’s life I guess.
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:23 pm
Great update! I really appreciate the choice of angle in the fourth panel, and the conversation here is brilliantly casual.
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:40 pm
my hero is daredevil.. but hey i’m odd and this is a good one and i’m with the idea she passes out
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:41 pm
i love you comic but dude you come one with 1 every 2 weeks and the top of your fucking page says m w f come on man get with it.
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:46 pm
Bobby, if I wait for the end of the comic, will there be a complete graphic novel with all 80 pages in it or will it be in 2 volumes still?
August 2nd, 2007 at 11:42 pm
Eris: There will definitely be a full graphic novel printed, yes. That’s the main reason for the entire project, to have the final graphic novel. I’m not sure if we’ll print other smaller issues before then, but we might.
August 2nd, 2007 at 11:50 pm
Heh, Stasia’s really acts like a little child. “I’m a rockstar, I can do what I want!”
Making rules up as much as she wants… I would be annoyed if it wasn’t so damn cute!
And somehow Guy sounds a lot like me when I have an ‘argument’ with friends. xP
I can’t wait to hear him talk about himself. X3
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:02 am
Spider-man and Bun-Bun (Sluggy Freelance) are my heros. I agree, i like the art a lot this one. = )
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:06 am
“My hero is Hiro from “Heroes.”” Quick, somebody call the Department of Redundancy Department! =P
I’ve never liked claiming any one person as my hero or role model. I like to tread my own path.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:09 am
My hero has to be the Doctor.. Oh… I have one thing to say about this comic… Fantastic!
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:12 am
Hero? Hmm, I’d have to say Martin Luther King Jr., Trina Robbins, and Link from the Legend of Zelda games xD
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:24 am
My hero is Yukari from Azumanga Daioh (haha, nerd). Because, really, if there’s one thing I want out of life, it’s to teach English to a bunch of Japanese kids who are probably smarter than me and be rivals/best friends with the PE teacher. Yaaaay~
Or wait, does that make her my role model? I forget. ^^;
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:24 am
Hero? Sephiroth, such a clinically insane Armageddon causing person can only fill my requirements for hero.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:26 am
My hero is Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing.
>.>
no. I just wanted to play more on redundancy, yay.
Seriously though, my hero is my dad. I can only hope to become as unique and good a person as him.
Bobby, you are seriously rockin’ the dialogue, and Eisu as always is rockin’ the art, especially those amazing facial expressions!
Can’t wait for the next page.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:34 am
Shuzuko, Heero Yuy is my hero aswell but ya got to spell it right. Ya hes a good hero to just cause he knows what he needs to fight for after what hes already done. But ya i like how the story is progressing but we need to make a betting pool on what will happen next lol. Again Eisu and bobby great jobs.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:39 am
Umm… Poe would be one of my heroes, had he drunk less. Still I wish I could write like him. Rossetti would be one of my heroes, had he not used drugs. Still I wish I could paint like him. Wagner would be one of my heroes, if I had any hope I can ever stop being tone-deaf. Klingsor would be one of my heroes if he wasn’t already me. But first and most of all Hecate would be my hero (heroine?) if the title “hero” wasn’t far far too low for Her.
As it is, I’m heroless.
Can I borrow yours?
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:26 am
Guy’s and Stasia’s faces are full of emotions, thats why I love this comic so damn much! You can really tell how the characters are saying what they want to say (I hope that makes sense). I’m already on the edge of my seat waiting for the next page! Keep up the awesome work Bobby!
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:30 am
Also, Bono.
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:39 am
Proxess: All facial expressions credit goes to Eisu! Well, 95% at least. I describe their expressions, but the tough part is actually drawing those descriptions. Glad you’re liking the comic so much. Working on writing Page 40 right now, will hopefully finish it within the next few hours.
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:56 am
Seriously? The next few hours?! I think I’m going to mount a tent in front of my computer and patiently camp waiting for the next page… best get a thermal ready!
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:56 am
“Working on writing Page 40 right now, will hopefully finish it within the next few hours.”
You’re still under the false impression that I draw it, I think! Next page probably won’t actually go up for at least 48 hours. Not sure when.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:42 am
Is it wrong of me to say that Calvin and Hobbes were my heroes and role models when I was a little girl?
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:45 am
No, it is not wrong.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:51 am
Hehe. Ozzy Osbourn as a pop star. Heh. I like the sound of that better, anyhow.
Mmm, isn’t a “hero” a type of sandwich?
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:54 am
By the way, I’d have to say that my hero is actually a group of people: those who chase dreams. Like Bobby and Eisu. Doing something risky; trying something not considered the “norm” and doing their best at it.
What was it Kipling said? “If you can make a heap of all your winnings and risk it in one game of pitch and toss” … thank you both for taking a risk here.
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:55 am
I’m with Stasia - I don’t have a hero. Never have done. The whole idea has often seemed a bit weird, to me.
Great dialogue here, too. Great character moments for both the main leads. The whole Pop/Rock Star thing is very well observed, too.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:02 am
And now she’s gonna fall asleep isn’t she? ^^
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:04 am
Naruto-kun is DEFINITELY my hero, as well as Shikamaru-kun and Kakashi-sensei. Lee-san is just kickass.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:08 am
Is it wrong to say that Alfred Swearengen is and was my hero as a little girl?
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:14 am
Also you guys get like twelve “not a cute, shallow highschool lesbian comic” points if the joke isn’t her falling asleep.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:15 am
Audrey Hepburn and Stan Lee are my heroes. Audrey because she was more glamorous and elegant than I could ever hope to be and Stan because he created the best comic books ever (no offense, I still like this one lots ^.^).
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:21 am
“Also you guys get like twelve ‘not a cute, shallow highschool lesbian comic’ points if the joke isn’t her falling asleep.”
It’s not necessarily “the joke” — it’s just what needs to happen, really. I think I said a while back that she’d fall asleep soon here, maybe in the comments of the previous page.
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:04 am
Love the comic, first time commenting. As for my hero…Batman is a close second, but Nightwing is number one!
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:14 am
Jack Bauer is my hero. >=)
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:28 am
I can camp 48 hours.
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:49 am
Aww, she looks like a cuddler
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:51 am
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:53 am
At this point in writing, I’d say probably Henry Rollins, Daniel Gildenlöw of Pain of Salvation, and Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke, all three of whom I’m convinced are literal geniuses. (I’ve been heavy into music lately.) Probably have more, but can’t think of them now.
Also, me.
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:54 am
Ack, I meant to say there’s just more dialogue. Blast this double-thinking and lack of sleep. -_-;
Oh and the fact you can see both characters’ heads in each panel is probably another reason why the page looks more detailed.
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:26 am
My heros are Batman, the Doctor, and the guy who invented sandwiches.
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:38 am
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:57 am
I like this page, the way they play off each other is so cute.
I like the art too it’s great, but at the same time it seems like it’s getting a bit sloppy in ways :S
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:58 am
My hero is Aayla Secura. : /
Whatadork.
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:42 am
My hero would have to be Gambit
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:43 am
Jimmy hendrix is my hero heh heh
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:51 am
Steve Coogan is my hero.
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:57 am
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:07 am
My hero? I don’t really have a created hero (or for that matter, predicted future) per se…
…I make my own.
P.S. It’s pretty obvious that Stasia’s enjoying herself here.
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:08 am
My hero is the Dalai Lama. He is one cool dude, and I hope to get to meet him someday.
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:14 am
Jillster- my mom headbutted the Dalai Lama. No kidding.
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:14 am
The later Malcolm X, Dexter Morgan, Selene (no last name in the film), Shane McCutcheon, Renee Montoya, Crono, Saya Otonashi, and Tammy Faye Mesner.
I’m kind of surprised the website didn’t blow up, with all of those names that close together.
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:21 am
What to say, what to do?
Nice page!
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:30 am
I’m loving this.
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:38 am
my hero? gotta be…my mother. no! hiro! no! river from firefly! no! joss whedon! no! rosa parks! no! ah, crap…um…the human race is my hero?
RJ
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:43 am
David Bowie is my hero…….
August 3rd, 2007 at 8:59 am
My heroes are: Stan Lee, Kevin Smith and my mom
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:53 am
It’s good to see Stasia being as interested in Guy as he is in her. Real person hero: Grandpa Cody. Comic: Squirrel Girl.
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:57 am
I love Hiro! He’s the best! Except for Peter, but really, they’re pretty much tied for the best.
Hmm… my hero… is anyone who’s strong enough to survive I guess.
Anyways, I love the commic, I’ve been reading it for a while now and it’s really great. I think you have a unique idea that I haven’t seen anywhere else. So great job and keep going!
August 3rd, 2007 at 10:23 am
Adorable.
And RegularJoe5? Joss Whedon > everything.
(but bobby and eisu still rock my socks like nobody’s business!)
August 3rd, 2007 at 10:24 am
August 3rd, 2007 at 11:23 am
Great page as always
I’m really wondering what he’s goin to tell about himself now.
August 3rd, 2007 at 11:28 am
Sean Connery is my hero all the way maybe throw in a little Bruce Lee. Huray for a new comic strip to brighten up my day and huray for the awsome team that is Bobby and Eisu.
Also the scroll bar for the comic strips at the top i dont know if its just cause of my Resolution screwin with ur button (1440×900) but its almost completely under the comic.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:28 pm
No, seriously, Batman IS my hero. XD I’m wearing a Batman shirt as I type this, in fact.
Awesome, as ALWAYS. I really eagerly await every single word and line. Wonderful, you two.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:32 pm
Oh, also? I am absolutely in awe of how many different angles there are on this page. As a fellow comic book artist, I know how hard it is to do scenes like this - it’s a struggle to make all the panels interesting and fresh. I really admire the work on this page, especially. It must not have been easy.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:33 pm
I’d have to say my main hero is Captain Jack Harkness. Dude, the acrobat twins? Awesome. Tank Girl is definitely another hero. And who could forget Robin Goodfellow, and Jezebel from Count Cain, and whoever wrote the little monster pop-up books.
Great job on the page, as always.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:40 pm
This comic is awesome. Period.
My hero is Guy Montag. Yay for books.
August 3rd, 2007 at 12:48 pm
I’m most impressed. Though I need to gripe one tiny thing [that won’t stop me from reading but it’s still something to note]
Saying MWF and then updating bi-monthly seems kind of like a ‘ploy’ to reel readers in. I know it’s not intentional or ill-natured but some people may think so. [like one known as BS]
I think just mentioning that it randomly updates or what not would decide who the ‘true’ readers [who’d stick around no matter what, like me] are. I for one love the anime-ish style and the like and I think it deserves more readers [as well as a faster update, dur, that’s just me ^_^]
August 3rd, 2007 at 1:00 pm
My hero’s gotta be Zorro. I used to watch the old black and white TV show. Consiquentially, when the movie came out I fell in love with Antonio Banderas ^__^; Jackie Chan’s pretty kick-ass too…
And Josh D has a point; the archive bar/scroll bar whatever it is is completely under the comic for me too. My res. is totally different from his, so I dont think its a res. problem… Just thought I’d mention it too..
As always, love the comic =D
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:34 pm
Batman=boss.
Ninjas are pretty cool too. Man i can’t believe how friggin oblivious guy is… T-T
August 3rd, 2007 at 2:38 pm
“I can do whatever I want. I’m a rock star.”
Aw, Stasia. XD
As always, great job, guys.
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:07 pm
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:35 pm
hmmm batman is a pretty cool hero, but i’d say that mine is my mom. she’s pretty cool in a super nerdy sorta way. XD
btw, i love this comic! great work and keep it up!
August 3rd, 2007 at 3:47 pm
I’d be a better rock star…
Anyways, my hero is… Um… I’m with Stasia, I don’t really have one.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:03 pm
I’m all about Superman.
See Batman is a Costume for Bruce Wayne, but Clark Kent is the Costume for Superman/Kal El. Clark is how Superman views us.
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:12 pm
As a rockman I cannot accept this strip:P
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:21 pm
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:34 pm
Heros? I got 3:
August 3rd, 2007 at 4:36 pm
Crap. I meant to say Steinbach, not Steinbeck.
Sorry for the double post.
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:08 pm
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:15 pm
Steve Irwin, yo. Or ummm… Jesus. That guy.
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:26 pm
OMG! I love it! My heroes are William Shakespeare, when I can spell his name correctly…. um… the Flash, and Shikamaru Nara from Naruto. He’s so cool! wow… I’m such a nerd…
August 3rd, 2007 at 5:45 pm
Real life, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Comics, Spiderman
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:25 pm
My heroes are Weird Al, Steve Irwin, and Albert Einstein.
August 3rd, 2007 at 6:40 pm
Sharooooooon! I need a buritooooooooo!
XD
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:06 pm
seas.
great work as usual(keep it up!), about personal hero:
I’m pending between Sami Järvi, Simon Pegg and Takeshi Kitano..
First for his written work, second for artistic and written work and same goes for Beat Takeshi.
cu,
Vogel
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:13 pm
rl, God
Comics, Catwoman (Halle Berry Version) She’s what every woman want to secretly be and every man’s dream come true. lolz
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:23 pm
Man its been a day and there’s almost 100 posts.
That’s awsome.
Batman is my hero no doubt. He owns all, no one can mess with him.
Ok ok now its time for guess the band 80’s edition
Ok I tried to make it a little tough. Here we go.
1.
I guess the boy took it one step over the line
Sold his soul to the dark unholy sign
Now, only time will tell
Will it take you down
Or will you pull through
It’s like a voice from the burning fires of hell
Selling sin
Now you’ve fallen for the spell
And only time will tell
Will it take you down
Or will you pull through
It’s calling out to you
2. Longboats have been sighted the evidence of war has begun,
Many Nordic fighting men their swords and shields all gleam in the sun,
Call to arms defend yourselves get ready to stand and fight for your lives,
Judgement day has come around so be prepared don’t run stand your ground.
3.
Wasting all our time
You mortals and your crimes
Move quick as lightning
Burning across the grease
Could be a little frightening
Mutations never cease
Superheroes
Giant freaks
Tear apart the evil
To save the weak
Good luck people
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:27 pm
1. Kachou Ouji - Cautionary Warning
2. Iron Maiden - Invaders
3. Racer X - Superheroes
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:10 pm
Alright bobby u got 2 out of 3.
I wanted the 80’s artist
So the first one is supposed to be john sykes.
But that was too easy I’m gonna have to do a better job.
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:13 pm
Was just thanks to google.
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:16 pm
Damn google.
I’ll have a better one 2morrow.
80’s edition part 2.
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:27 pm
My hero is Xander Harris from Buffy. He rose to the challenge of making a difference as a regular Joe in a world of demons, monsters and magic. He was deeply flawed but only in the ways that normal people are flawed. Xander was somehow able to keep both his courage and his humanity in that world…and ours is sooo much safer. Inspiring!
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:38 pm
My personal hero is Alton Brown, the host of the Food Network show Good Eats. He makes learning how to cook fun! … Also Bill Watterson, Genndy Tartaskovsky, Richard Dawkin, Shigeru Miayamoto, and Batman. Always Batman.
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:41 pm
Hmmm, one of my heroes is Martin Luther King Jr for sheer tenacity, bravery and an amazing ability to capture people with his speeches. Ghandi for pioneering non-violent protest. Bobby Kennedy Jr for pioneering environmental law (a field I’m planning on entering). And Batman…cuz he’s cool
Awesome page. Eisu, you are the master of expressions and Bobby, you are the master of believable dialogue.
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:41 pm
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:49 pm
August 3rd, 2007 at 9:49 pm
My hero is Hiro Protagonist from the book “Snow Crash”.
If you’ve read it, you’ll know why.
August 3rd, 2007 at 10:14 pm
I have to go with Spider-Man on this one.
A close second is Yoda.
My geekdom makes it so.
August 3rd, 2007 at 10:18 pm
Great page!
My hero is Billy West. I’m madly in love with his voices.
August 3rd, 2007 at 10:42 pm
Great page like all the others! Your story is really top notch, and Eisu’s art just fits it to a Tee….as for my hero? I think my wife is my hero, without her—I don’t know where I’d be today?
August 4th, 2007 at 12:02 am
Hiro Protagonist, I’ve read it and have to agree.
August 4th, 2007 at 12:26 am
Love this comic. For one thing the comments are far more relaxed the those over a Last Blood! Bobby needs to learn to relax a bit.
Keep up the good work.
August 4th, 2007 at 12:41 am
HAHAHA!
I wonder if you were to ask regular Oklahoman’s what they think of Bobby Kennedy and Wesley Clark what they would say. I think you’d get mostly “Ew,” and “Who?” as your answers. “Hero” certainly wouldn’t be on the top of the list!
Batman, however, sounds about right. XD

August 4th, 2007 at 1:16 am
well it really looks briljant again.
I’m reading this comic for a while now, and I really want more ^^
more more more
well my heroes are hiro from heroes he’s so cute.
zorro from one piece
August 4th, 2007 at 1:28 am
John Galt and Howard Roark
August 4th, 2007 at 5:52 am
If you ask most Americans why they voted on Bush, the probability of something stupid coming out of their mouths is high. Even to the president a lot of people said “Ew? Who?”.
August 4th, 2007 at 10:38 am
XD When I was younger, Lara Croft was my hero. Now? I don’t know.
August 4th, 2007 at 10:58 am
Whoa, let’s not get into politics. Bobby explained his reasoning for choosing those people as Guy’s heroes, so we’re done with it. I’m all for everyone having their own opinion, but it’s already been proven that unfortunately, most of us aren’t mature enough to even handle discussions less volatile than politics. I like how we’ve been calm and happy so far this page, let’s keep it that way O.o
Also, artisen… what the hell are you talking about? I spelled his name right… maybe you should learn to read? -_-;
August 4th, 2007 at 11:17 am
i like peter from heroes, But i have to say Trash from the book hidden talents is higher on my list. First time commenting by the way, and love this comic!
August 4th, 2007 at 12:26 pm
My hero is Annie Dillard, American author of creative non-fiction essays, short stories and novels.
August 4th, 2007 at 1:08 pm
heh, Hiro rocks, i love that lil guy! XD
but i’m with Stasia; i don’t really have a hero. we had to do a talk on it in english class once and i was so embarassed to have to get up and talk about Scott Cohen who played ‘Wolf’ in the 10th Kingdom tv series.
a pretty random choice you may think, but his performance did inspire a long running fantasy series of mine called Eternity.
i don’t now why i never had a hero as such, but i can’t imagine having one. what’s the criteria for that? even someone who saved my life, i don’t know if i’d call them my ‘hero’. i guess as a term it’s a bit over-used and cliched for me.
August 4th, 2007 at 2:57 pm
Spiderman allllll the way
August 4th, 2007 at 3:19 pm
Jim Henson!
August 4th, 2007 at 3:25 pm
I didn’t think I had a hero. I certainly didn’t for a very long time.
But Einstein. He’s my hero.
BTW - really loving the comic.
Kiri
August 4th, 2007 at 3:43 pm
So we’re discussing heroes?
All of mine are family members or teachers. XD
Anyway, I forgot to mention that I ♥ Parker, so…
I ♥ Parker.
She hasn’t been around for past two or three pages, but still. XD
August 4th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
“She hasn’t been around for past two or three pages, but still. XD”
She’s probably trying to hear and or see what’s going on inside that room. xD
August 4th, 2007 at 6:06 pm
August 4th, 2007 at 6:32 pm
The Punisher and Venom are my heroes. i love the twisted vigilante justice…and maybe because i’m a sucker for well drawn comics too XD
keep up the good work!
August 4th, 2007 at 8:11 pm
Vergil Sparda of DMC3 is my Hero. -sweatdrop- Kinda a…bizzare choice but it’s true.
August 4th, 2007 at 8:32 pm
Yeah. I’m pretty sure Aragorn is my hero. Just because. Both in the books and the movies.
He’s just so mysterious and amazing and he has a SWORD. How many guys have SWORDS?
August 4th, 2007 at 9:50 pm
Eisu is my hero. I want to learn to draw more now.
Well, not really. But he’s still my hero. For five more seconds.
August 4th, 2007 at 11:52 pm
My hero is Jesus. Of course, I have others, like Linkin Park, my older sis, my parents, my grandma, my cousin Ashley, etc.
August 5th, 2007 at 4:00 am
Jesus is my hero.
August 5th, 2007 at 4:11 am
Jesus is also my hero.
August 5th, 2007 at 4:22 am
My hero is Chester benington from linkin park (he’s soooo hot)
August 5th, 2007 at 5:56 am
Ozzy Osbourne IS a pop star.
August 5th, 2007 at 6:39 am
My hero is Loki, Norse god of mischief. Not only does he create mayhem and chaos, but he brings about Ragnorak, the end of the world.
August 5th, 2007 at 7:31 am
I’m having a hard time guessing whether Guy named Bobby Kennedy more for his Civil Rights work or his work against the Teamsters (particularly Hoffa). Guy doesn’t seem like he’d be a big law and order person, so I’m assuming it’s more the Civil Rights aspects? Just curious.
Anyway, good list of heroes, especially Schulz! He’s on my list as well.
As far as heroes go, I’ve always looked up to Ronald Reagan and Robin Williams in addition to Schulz.
August 5th, 2007 at 9:17 am
lolz!!!1 batman is not my hero!!!
my hero is smeagol!! :p and thor (dwarven god of…. something)
August 5th, 2007 at 10:48 am
Our soldiers fighting for our freedom, they are my heroes.
August 5th, 2007 at 11:06 am
Heroes…don’t think I have a real hero. Though for fun, Iron Man. Very human flaws, but still tries to do the right thing.
As always, fantastic comic, Bobby, Eisu. :3
August 5th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
My hero is most definitely Guy-sensei, from Naruto! I wonder if MarryMe’s Guy can do some ninja stuff as well?
August 5th, 2007 at 12:21 pm
Stasia’s Hero
Her hero would be maybe Audrey Hepburn, or mother Teresa
IF someone states this, I second it. My hero is She-hulk or Ben Franklin.
PBH
August 5th, 2007 at 4:44 pm
Here are my own heroes as follows (in no particular order):
WWE’s The Undertaker - Because no matter how bad he gets beat, he’ll come back and beat you worse.
Albus MF’in Dumbledore - Behind that ‘Doddering Old Fool’ act is a true badass.
Severus Snape - Nuff said here.
Sirius Black - As a dog, you just wanna hug ‘im, don’tcha?
Superman - He can just SIT on Batman and take him out. So there. Nyah.
As always top notch work. Keep up the kick ass stuff, guys!!
August 5th, 2007 at 9:21 pm
My Hero would be between batman and god it all matters who would win
God has the power to destroy this Universe, but Batman has the bat mobile hard decision
August 5th, 2007 at 10:27 pm
Pamela: superman might be able to just sit on batman, but batman will have his kryptonite ring on his middle finger waitin on superman to sit on it.

So the hell with that were rippin through your town.
August 6th, 2007 at 8:38 am
Hate to steal yours, but Hiro is my Hero too. He was from the first episode and seeing future Hiro only made me love his character more.
August 6th, 2007 at 9:40 am
My hero is Toph, from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Yay for cartoons!
I wish this scene could go on longer, but if you have to end it, then you must.
Also…I want to say (because I’ve never commented before) that I love this comic. It’s so fun to read–the dialogue is so smooth, and the art is amazing, the characters are just as intriguing as the storyline–it’s all-around good.
I wish you would update more often ^^ (then again, I’m so bored I wish comics would update twice a day)
August 6th, 2007 at 11:59 am
My hero is my dad
August 6th, 2007 at 1:34 pm
To The Captain: Do you want to know the sad part? I can picture this, too…
Superman: *groans* Damn, I got a case of ‘roids that’s out of this world!!!
*ROFLMAO*
August 6th, 2007 at 1:42 pm
Hey Bobby, I found a love song about a girl named Anastasia. Check it out. It’s on http://www.myspace.com/bravesaintsaturnrock
August 6th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
My hero? SpaceGodzilla.
August 6th, 2007 at 3:58 pm
haha I love how she assumes it would take only five minutes of her listening to get his whole life story. love this comic.
August 6th, 2007 at 5:09 pm
Number two is W.A.S.P - When the Levee breaks. Or Led Zeppelin if you prefer.
August 6th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
Good job andy-o,
There are 2 more, let see if I can stump the rest.
Remember no googling people.
August 6th, 2007 at 8:19 pm
my hero is Batman, and Hiro from Heroes, he is just flipping awesome!
August 6th, 2007 at 9:15 pm
Hiro is a good hero. Hmm… Buuuuut… Could I pick a villian? They’re always so much cooler. Like Envy (Full Metal Alchemist) or Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII). No, wait, I want to pick Mittens. I haven’t bought or met Mittens, yet, but I WILL be buying a young female rat tomorrow, and name it Mittens. So… She’s my hero. …As well as a villian, for making me wait a day… It’s a holiday, so the good pet shop is closed.
August 6th, 2007 at 9:17 pm
Oh, Serverus Snape (not saying if he’s a hero or a villian ;P) is pretty fun, too.
August 6th, 2007 at 10:49 pm
She is soooo going to fall asleep!
My hero is Joseph Kittinger D: Freaking man sky dived from SPACE! 20 miles in the air! Holy nuts. In 1969, no less, where technology on that kind of stuff was scarce.
Oh, and Orson Scott Card.
August 6th, 2007 at 11:07 pm
Tassadar (Starcraft) is my hero. Plain and simple.
August 7th, 2007 at 6:54 am
hmm
Hayao Miyazaki and Ryusuke Hamamoto are 2..
August 7th, 2007 at 3:04 pm
Hawksley Workman is my hero.
great page again! I can’t wait for more as per usual…
August 7th, 2007 at 5:00 pm
Awww, cute. Anyways, kudos t//B, Hayao Miyazaki rules!
August 8th, 2007 at 2:37 am
My hero is Dana Scully.
Great work you two! I’ve quite enjoyed watching this story progress.
August 8th, 2007 at 8:37 am
… My hero is the giant wheel of swiss cheese that is growing moldy in the back of my fridge.
♥
August 8th, 2007 at 8:54 am
My number one hero will always be my dad. Without him I would still be crushing my head trying to get my son to stop crying. Love ya dad!
August 8th, 2007 at 11:31 am
wow, i must say, i love this comic
August 8th, 2007 at 3:51 pm
Wow that was epic… I’ll leave it at that.

August 8th, 2007 at 4:38 pm
I just read everything so far. I LOVE IT! you have a new fan.
August 8th, 2007 at 9:39 pm
My hero is Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha. teehee. He sarted out a bad ass Mofo and softened up after he got Rin and now he’s a genuine sweetheart.
August 9th, 2007 at 1:25 pm
i just started reading the strips today and i must say that you guys are very good, and i think that it would also be a good movie too.
August 9th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
Oscar Wilde is my hero. He was really brilliant and witty, but in addition to that I guess he was awesome to talk to; he never looked down on other people or made them feel less intelligent. I think that’s awesome! Plus practically every line in his books is really quotable o0
August 9th, 2007 at 4:56 pm
August 10th, 2007 at 1:46 am
Ya know, I’m not so sure Ozzy would mind being called a Pop Music artist. Especially considering his music is just as, if not more popular than it was 20 years ago.
August 10th, 2007 at 4:58 am
I think my tag says it all but just in case no body gets it BATMAN is my hero and my god!
August 10th, 2007 at 8:41 am
Bruce Campbell is my hero.
August 10th, 2007 at 11:33 am
Are they ever going to update this???
August 10th, 2007 at 2:14 pm
August 10th, 2007 at 4:13 pm
-S
August 10th, 2007 at 5:38 pm
Stasia doesn’t seem like the typical pop star. She hates performing (at least recently), she donates 97% of her profits to charity, and she cares what people besides her fans think of her. So I highly doubt she would be as cheap as lip-syncing. Just a thought.
August 10th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
Sorry, should be “she would be so cheap as to lip-sync.”
August 10th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
And about the sleep-thing, she might be that tired, she might not. Different people work and act differently. It’s not really a stretch at all to think she’ll fall asleep soon. It just depends on the person.
August 10th, 2007 at 5:42 pm
And I think the “not getting any sleep tonight” was a statement of fact.
August 10th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
I’ve learned that there are no heros, sure you see people performa heroic act, and you may look up to someone, but in the end there really in never been a true hero…….then again, i’m just a dark soul that have seen too much for any 20 yro.
August 11th, 2007 at 4:52 am
definitely HIRO NAKAMURA!!!! ♥♥♥
August 11th, 2007 at 1:54 pm
Updated M-W-NEVER
Love the comic, but you need to update.
August 11th, 2007 at 4:45 pm
ANOTHER AWESOME PAGE… YOU TWO REALLY KNOW WHAT CARTOONING IS ALL ABOUT… I LOVE ALL THE ASPECTS OF ALL THE CHRACTERS… YOU GUYS REALLY HAVE SOMETHING HERE…. AND I’M TOTALLY ADDICTED!!!
THNX
August 12th, 2007 at 12:42 am
Yeah I think the overly optimistic posted update schedule gets on a lot of people’s nerves, but I mean seriously would you rather them spend time fixing some obviously incorrect and relatively pointless part of an otherwise functional website (knowing very little on how well versed / how involved with the details of its creation, and hence knowing little about how long said change would take) or would you prefer them to keep their efforts devoted to this project spent on the project?

August 12th, 2007 at 12:47 am
what “someone” said. I can fork out crap 3 times a week, I can fork out quality maybe once or twice a month…
quality over…um, on time-ness
August 12th, 2007 at 6:30 am
JIMI HENDRIX FTW
August 12th, 2007 at 6:34 am
O ye of little faith:
Stop bitching over the updates.
August 12th, 2007 at 1:07 pm
New page within 2-3 hours, and should have Page 41 within 36 or so hours after that, I think.
August 12th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
My hero is Johnny Appleseed.
BATMAN’S cool and all.
But Johnny… He planted seeds.
August 12th, 2007 at 3:06 pm
Hey bobby/eisu,
Is this the hardest project you work on?
Just wanted to ask because I know u both work on multiple projects.
If not this one then which one is?
Oh and nobodys made any guesses on the other songs. Was it too hard.
Let me know
August 12th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
“Last Blood” is hardest for me.
August 13th, 2007 at 12:25 am
Joss Whedon’s little twist on heroes amuses me. First, there’s Buffy who shows how women can be or have to be strong to hold evil at bay, regardless of whether she has supernatural strength or not. Then the season 6 finale where Xander saves the world by basically being a sensitive guy and talking the problem out.
August 13th, 2007 at 12:26 am
PS: This comic doesn’t fast update enough for me, only because Parker is such crazy fun. Genius, Crosby!
September 26th, 2007 at 1:53 pm
My hero is Tarl Cabot from the Chronicles of Counter Earth, aka The Tarl Cabot Saga, aka Gor. Wow thats a lot of aka’s i had to put lol.
November 29th, 2007 at 6:36 pm
My hero is Math from Last Blood.
And Douglas Adams… H2G2 is THE BEST!!!
December 7th, 2007 at 4:27 am
omg i don’ normally comment on these but since u mention hiro, i’ll go SYLAR!!!!
December 21st, 2007 at 1:30 am
I applaud the guy who mentioned Bun-Bun (from Sluggy Freelance). Awesome character, too bad he’s a murderer.
My Heros would have to be Chuck Norris and Spider-man. (Most Awesome team-up EVER.)
December 25th, 2007 at 11:48 pm
I am WAY behind, and honestly I’m not sure I’ve got a hero anyway. I think a large part of me still has sincere admiration for Zelos from Tales of Symphonia though.
January 31st, 2008 at 5:23 pm
My hero, huh?
Um…Satine from Moulin Rouge ^_^;
March 18th, 2008 at 9:29 am
If fictional heroes, Naruto from the anime! Awesome ninja!
If non-fictional… Albert Einstein!
April 3rd, 2008 at 10:32 pm
Wonder Woman I played her at Six Flags America, but I’ve been a fan long before then. I still go by the Nick Name “Double W” and find my self standing and acting like her. One of my Dreams is to meet Lyda Carter the actress from the tv series, but I’m not psycho about it like some people. Shes a great actress and as a student of theatre I’d love to soak up a few pearls of wisdom.
June 6th, 2008 at 11:47 am
My hero would be Edward Cullen….OR Bruce Campbell! He can fight candarian demons for me anyway
P.S> I think Guy is so attractive, for inexplicable reason…I mean I know his a cartoon…so that must be I’m crazy.
