Aw man! I’ve just found out about this, and I’m addicted! I’m a huge fan, but I don’t have a non-anonymous email, or a scanner so I can’t do the Wowio thing, it makes me sad. I’m really hoping we can get those updates, and I’ll be the first in line for the movie!!!!!!!

New pages go up as soon as they’re finished, and lately that’s been at totally random times. Just check the dates of the last 10 pages or so to give you an idea of how often it updates. Anyway, download the books on WOWIO and tell all your American friends to do the same and you’ll get MWF updates throughout October.

Bobby, or anyone, just a question about this wowio thing. if i put in a credit card number (as in, my mom’s), i know it won’t bill me money, but will any indication that i used her credit card for the service show up on a bill or anywhere?
i agree with MB, i doubt they’re legally married but i think once she finds out, Stasia will want to actually get married.

I don’t think so, but I don’t remember for sure. I suggest just telling your mom about it beforehand — there is definitely no charge — it’s just to verify that you’re a real person.

If you don’t have a scanner or a non-anonymous email but have a digicam you can just take a photo of your drivers license and send it to them. They take a day or so to verify but they do it. It’s how I signed up

Even with the spoiler, this leaves us with several plausible variants.
a) Connection goes dead.
b) Stasia refuses to hear the news. That would be quite in line with her not wanting to see Daddy.
c) the validity of the marriage depends on whether it was consummated or not, and neither Stasia nor Guy feel the least bit like spilling the beans right now, purportedly because it would ruin their reputation. Actually, because they do feel comfortable around one another and don’t want to see anything finalized right now when good sense (and Daddy) would require them to split before it becomes more difficult.
When the news finally blows over, is this going to become a “Green Card” like ending twist?

Bah, US-only. We Canadians are getting screwed again.
I know it’s a very tempting deal for webcomic artists, but you have to keep in mind that your audience is international, not US-only. Please consider making alternate arrangements until WOWIO expands outside the US.
My suggestion: Put the latest comic (that is shown on WOWIO and not here) on a page that only allows non-US residents (geolocate the IP, it’s simple, in PHP, two lines of code) to view it.
This means that people in the US go through WOWIO, and others (like Canadians) can see the content anyhow. Perhaps put some more advertisements on the non-US page.

No one is getting screwed. Every single comic page that is on WOWIO is also on this site, and is on this site long before ever appearing on WOWIO. The only things exclusive to WOWIO are the bonus features, but as I’ve said many times, all of them will eventually appear on this site as well (most of them have already appeared here in the past). Not a single panel of the comic itself is exclusive to WOWIO. Nothing has changed at all. Only difference is that people who download the WOWIO books get a few bonus pieces of art.

The e-books are not at all past this point. This website is past the e-books… the comics appear here first before appearing on WOWIO… heck, I’m Malaysian, so, even as co-creator I cannot get the WOWIO content… okay, since I drew the content myself, so it’s pointless to get the WOWIO stuff, but still, the point is, there’s no need to put the stuff on WOWIO anywhere else currently, even if it is for the bonus sketches and stuff cos, as Bobby said, it’ll appear on here anyway… if you want to complain about WOWIO being US based, complain to WOWIO, not here in this comic…
The stuff in WOWIO is not at all past the pages of this site… regularly checking this site makes you go further than the WOWIO pages… think of it like a trade paperback. The WOWIO comics only collects what’s already shown here as one book instead of page updates.

Hey, I have been reading from the beginning and havn’t commented yet. I came over from Sore Thumbs. But the comic is great. I love the witty writing. Anyways… I have been wondering about this WOWIO thing… My real qustion is, Are you pushing so hard to be #1 because you want to beat your brother, or is it all because of the benefits you get from it?
I guess it really doesnt matter though. Anyways, keep up the great work man, i love this comic and Last Blood.

I don’t care at all about it being #1 — I just care about getting as many downloads as possible. If it got the same amount of downloads as it’s getting, but was #327, that would be fine with me. The whole thing about having it be #1 is just a good incentive to get the current readers to download the books. Also, would I link to the WOWIO “Sore Thumbs” listings if I was trying to beat him? Anyway, just had our sixth day in a row at #1.

But yeah. Awesome comic, I’ve been following it for a while but haven’t bothered to leave a comment ‘cuz I’m lazy like that. My fav character has got to be Guy, because he’s stuck in this totally unreal situation but’s just going with it like “okay, sure.” I love that.

It’s topical & funny. The Art (in my humble opinion) satisfies the present obsession with manga as well as a nod to the classic Archie comics art.

Matthew if you read the comments on all the other 43 pages, you’d realize that the pages come out when they are ready. I support Bobby 100% on putting “NOW DAILY” on the banner. Think of it this way… it normally takes around 7~10 days. If it takes more either Bobby or Eisu are really busy. Be patient.

Matthew: If you’ve ever attempted to do even a very simple non-colored webcomic, you’d know how much time and effort it takes for each update.
I’m actually quite suprised that this gets updated as often as it does, because I can tell there are many many many hours of work for each page.

Just want to state for the record that the current waiting for a new page is entirely my fault. Haven’t even written it yet, but I’m going to tonight. Eisu is the best and he actually works pretty fast usually on “Marry Me.” I write three comics and the other two need to be updated more than “Marry Me,” because “Last Blood” has to meet print deadlines and the “+EV” site has a sponsor, so “Marry Me” is the one I’m able to put off the most. I’ve also been busy lately with some other stuff. Anyway, hopefully a new page up within 72 hours, but I’m not sure.

My bad, Bobby. I had misinterpreted your post. I thought you meant that if the comic was #1 on WOWIO, that there would be regular MWF updates available on WOWIO, and that those updates would eventually be made available here. I didn’t realize you meant only some exclusive art, and not the comics themselves.
We know that Sore Thumbs was (as of the 11th) second with 5 days in first, and Marry Me made up the other 6.
I don’t know what happened yesterday, but today, Wicked Powered is first, so as far as I can tell, the current standings are:
6: Marry me
5: Sore Thumbs
2: Unknown
1: Wicked Powered
Where do those 2 unknown days go? If they’re for Marry Me, then it’s pretty much a shoe-in. If they went to Wicked Powered or XXXena, then Marry me is still in first with a strong chance to finish ahead.

My ‘guess’ as it has been from the start:
They’re married in the eyes of the lord, but not legally, and not in that state, or according to any other state. Which is to say, their marriage was probably recognized by the church, but it won’t be recognized by the state or the country.
So, they’re married, but not really according to law. XD

That depends, Saku, there is such a thing as “Common Law Marriage” and most states generally recognize that. Then there is also a clause under federal law “Pseudo Marriage” in which even if a marriage itself was not “legal” if both parties in turn believed they were actually getting married then it is still binding and they are considered to be “married” Which I believe may be the case here.
