I'm guessing text went missing because you tried to do a smiley face (the last character in your post is a colon) -- when people post smiley faces here the rest of their comments don't show up for some reason most of the time.

As I've said many times, I hate "Sore Thumbs." There's no disagreement there. It's not in any way selling out, though, to advertise it more than "Marry Me." If "Marry Me" had over 20 issues and "Sore Thumbs" only had two, the situation would be reversed and we'd be advertising "Marry Me" a trillion times more than "Sore Thumbs." WOWIO pays us 50 cents per download per issue, so the more issues, the more downloads, the more money. A very small aspect of this is the popularity of the comics, but you keep harping on that for some unknown reason. That's like less than 1% of the reason for where our advertising dollars are going. "Marry Me" just started this year and already has almost as many readers as "Sore Thumbs."

I understand ST gains more publicity which in turn raises the general income from adverts, though reading both comics (I only ran through Sore Thumbs once expecting it gets better till about 400 pages... None. : five-strip story arcs and occasional strip on popular topic; Picking CAD and LFG as contrasting examples explains much better than I would).

This doesn't just go with webcomics. You see a lot of underrated games overshadowed by those "popular" versions and people rarely get to hear about them other than from word of mouth. Too many times I've seen very high quality pieces of software not reaching Western shores from Japan because a gargantuan franchise such as Final Fantasy does not let games such as the Treasure of the Rudras, Treasure Hunter G, Brave Fencer Musashi 2, Seiken Densetsu III and dozens of others I've probably never heard of.

This last example fits this comic; The bigger franchise gets more revenue, even if it does suck and people get to miss out on really beautiful works.

This took longer than what I normally post anywhere online... But I wanted to clarify my viewpoint further just in case you misunderstood me in saying you're a big meanie because you don't advertise this much. :

Keep up the GREAT WORK You Two and I'll Keep Reading.

I'm used to seeing webcomics with the misleading M-W-F schedule. And by misleading, I do not mean the creators of said webcomics withhold updates on either one of those days on purpose. I know how busy they can be with they real life/job, so I don't complain. Rushing doesn't help, folks. For crying out loud.

Ah well. Whooooo for an update.

"Hm… With all due respect, not advertising a good online graphic novel because a mediocre non-humourous webcomic gains more income is what a sellout does."

What are you referring to? Either way it's impossible for it to make any sense. Maybe you're talking about this --

------------------
Better to advertise “Sore Thumbs” because there are so many issues — more issues, more downloads, more total money. Only two issues of “Marry Me” so far. We also need to wait until we get the first WOWIO check (mid-November) before spending too much on advertising — first, so we can trust them and know we’ll get paid (which we better or I’ll go completely insane), and second, because we need money to spend money. They pay quarterly.
------------------

If so, you don't know what "sellout" means. "Sore Thumbs" has more readers online than "Marry Me" and can make a lot more money on WOWIO and it seems like a bit of a waste to buy advertising for the WOWIO issues of "Marry Me" when there's only two issues on there. It's not always a "sellout" to make a smart business decision, but many morons think it is or just like to call people names for fun. And obviously tons of people disagree with you about "Sore Thumbs" being a "non-humorous webcomic." We have a limited amount of money to spend on advertising and it's obviously the smart thing to spend the vast majority of it on "Sore Thumbs."

Hm... With all due respect, not advertising a good online graphic novel because a mediocre non-humourous webcomic gains more income is what a sellout does. It's the same idea behind most stories where authors refuse to let their characters die because it might lose readers.

That's you Eichiro Oda (One Piece).

There was more fighting for a bit there. ;_;

*Will never read the comments again* XD

Ahhh man. I don't think I've left a comment in a loooong time... Sorry.

But'yes, Guy = awesome in the first panel. Nicely done, Eisu. ;)

And wow, I really love his attitude toward this. XD "Yeah, I got married to the biggest popstar since Britney, I'm in total shock, and my best friend may or may not want to kill me right now, but I'll be back to work on Monday, no problem!" XD!!

Ahhh, guys... This comic's wonderful. Keep it up. :)

(Also, since I haven't said so in the oh-so-looongest time, I ♥ Parker.)

Mandy: Good luck with that. I've heard that it's pretty easy to get a non-anonymous e-mail address. Maybe Google that and try to get one.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

Also, I asked a question in the last comic's comment area, and you kindly replied, saying that I could use a credit card as well. But the thing is, I'm only thirteen. I don't have a credit card of my own, or an ID, or anything like that. Anyways, I'm going to try to convince my mom to let me use her credit card. Wish me luck. :)
