This is one of my favorite comics ever
November 13th, 2007 at 5:07 pm
aw, she’s so nicccee!!!
November 13th, 2007 at 5:08 pm
That is so awesome!! *love* Parker = cute!
November 13th, 2007 at 5:16 pm
#52 should have TFZ flying by and waving…. would be kinda cool >.
November 13th, 2007 at 5:19 pm
Awwwwww!! This is such an adorable scene. Good job both Bobby and Eisu! ^__^ It really makes you heart Stasia and Parker all the more.
November 13th, 2007 at 5:22 pm
Awww, how sweet. I guess it makes sense that Parker would start venting her frustrations through mirth. It’s about thime we were seeing some catharsis. The fact that Guy got her closer to Stacia than she ever dreamed, yet she’ll never be as close as she wants to be must be eating her up on the inside. Other than being poor, Guy actually seems to be a good catch. He won’t take unfair advantage of Stacia. Other than is rash consent to marry her, he’s pretty level headed about the whole situation.
November 13th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
Stasia is such a good girl, she cares a lot about her super obsessed and a little wicked fans! Yay!
November 13th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
aww… parker seems so like a little kid here!! so cute, though… and so frustrating for her!
…hmm, I wonder why this scene feel so familiar to me?
life’s so annoying sometimes.
November 13th, 2007 at 5:46 pm
Aww. That’s adorable. Parker’s such a spaz.
November 13th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
Wow… that’s a relief. I was expecting a web of lies which would run for some time. Nicely handled, Bobby.
November 13th, 2007 at 5:49 pm
Stasia’s such a sweetheart D:
November 13th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
OMG, Stasia’s SUCH a sweetie!!
I also love how the usually crazy and kooky Parker looks so much like a lost child in the last panel, and Stasia is doing a wonderful job in looking like a good source of comfort for said lost child.
ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD!!
November 13th, 2007 at 6:00 pm
Now you gone and made me smile! Phooey.
I would’ve expected Parker to keep on lying way longer than this- she seems like the type of person who would. Up to now, it didn’t quite occur to me that Parker could put down her defenses.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:00 pm
Haha Thats so cute, How could you think we wouldn’t have much sympathy for Parker Mr.Crosby? Poor girl.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
P.S. Stasia’s face in panel three is pretty much priceless Good job with that one!
November 13th, 2007 at 6:09 pm
“#52 should have TFZ flying by and waving…. would be kinda cool >.”
Especially in the movie. That would be so awesome.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:13 pm
You should make parker more troublesom, at the moment she seems to be a (s|f)unny sidekick but she could be so much more..
November 13th, 2007 at 6:16 pm
That’s sweet. I respect Stasia for that.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:18 pm
Awwww. How incredble! I love Stasia. (and parker too)
November 13th, 2007 at 6:24 pm
I melted and drooled completely with Stasia now… that was just… so adorable!
November 13th, 2007 at 6:44 pm
Stasia’s got to be the kindest fictional pop star in history.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:45 pm
So I wonder, is she now going to talk about what Guy is really like? Or are they just gonna talk about why she knows so much about Stasia, and things like that.
Guy’s Perfect!
November 13th, 2007 at 6:47 pm
Lol, agreed with Dan about the TFZ thing! hahahaha…
November 13th, 2007 at 6:57 pm
I love it!!! it’s so cute, and Parker just gets better and better!
great job Bobby!
November 13th, 2007 at 6:57 pm
awwwww.
it’s really the only thing to say.
November 13th, 2007 at 7:30 pm
“Especially in the movie. That would be so awesome.”
A flying zombie waving at you…. something unique you could say
November 13th, 2007 at 7:32 pm
This was really cute. It’s good to see the Stasia thinking that she’s more than a creepy fan
November 13th, 2007 at 8:25 pm
Hmmm….. TFZ making an appearance…. Well, we would at least know how it all ends… and at least half of what she said at the bottom of page 24 would happen.
November 13th, 2007 at 8:25 pm
Cool that you keep doing new (good, funny)pages. I would think it’s hard to keep doing it as months past with same energy. Just wanted to say I am enjoying your work.
November 13th, 2007 at 8:39 pm
wow. normally my tastes run to the darker side but this comic always makes me want more. so likable and nice.
and I still hear the bus driver as don novello…
November 13th, 2007 at 8:51 pm
Oh, poor crazy Parker! I’m glad to see Stasia being nice to her and seeing through the crazy like that. Makes me wonder if this is the first time she’s taken her more obsessive fans seriously. Just more proof that Stasia’s too nice to be a celebrity!
November 13th, 2007 at 8:55 pm
Awwww! This is my favorite page yet. I can’t wait to see this in the movie. :]
November 13th, 2007 at 9:14 pm
ROFLROFL.
I love it, and I do think Guy’s just perfect.
November 13th, 2007 at 9:23 pm
stasia is the type of girl i would love to find. hot, rich, sweet, and remarkably intelligent despite making rash decisions. but hey, who wouldn’t want a girl with a little spontanaity.
PS. i look like guy which makes me think that this should happen to me in real life.
November 13th, 2007 at 9:26 pm
karma is a dagger through a crazed fangirls heart
November 13th, 2007 at 9:28 pm
“How could you think we wouldn’t have much sympathy for Parker Mr.Crosby?”
Because most of the comments for Page 50 said, “Screw you, Parker, I hope you DIE!”
November 13th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
aww! my whole opinion of parker has changed with just that speech bubble lol.
November 13th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
we ALL love you too Parker!
November 13th, 2007 at 9:46 pm
AWES!!! poor parker! its a good thing ana is such a sweety :). roxsome work as per usual guys, the last panel is definitely my favourite!!!
November 13th, 2007 at 9:50 pm
*grin* This comic makes me happy
November 13th, 2007 at 10:18 pm
Awe… I want to be her friend too! I love you Parker!
November 13th, 2007 at 10:49 pm
Beautifully illustrated as usual, Eisu.
Wonderfully written as usual, Crosby.
And as always, one of my favorite webcomics. Though it be erratically updated, the artwork always makes it worth the wait, to say nothing of the story and characters.
November 13th, 2007 at 11:22 pm
Seriously, Stasia just has proven herself to be a classy star, yet not a snuck-up one. Yea, she’s crazy and does impulsive things, but she’s really a sweet girl nevertheless with how she handled things with Parker right there (and isn’t Parker SWEET as hell there? Sweeeet!)
And Guy? Hell, I just cannot wait to see how the knowledge he acquired from that book is used to help Stasia in the long run. MORE, PLEASE! I’ll take more!
Guy… dreamy.
November 13th, 2007 at 11:27 pm
Awww.. Parker is pretty much on the verge of bawling and hugging Stasia…
Second to last scene is awesome… Great emotion there, absolutely wonderful. I COULD FEEL Ana forgiving ME… Great job artists!
November 13th, 2007 at 11:59 pm
This explains everything.
Parker disparages Guy, thereby earning ‘friend points’ with Stasia herself. It’s STILL never going to be enough for that threesome.
November 14th, 2007 at 12:06 am
I feel exactly what Parker would be going through. I myself am gay and I became completely infatuated with a friend over the summer. When I came out to him that is about what had happened. We will never be more than friends and that can be hard to accept especially when he keeps on being so nice about it! It is ten times as hard to get over than if they were a jerk about it. It is a sad and often untold story, but obviously if you are gay you are not just going to fall in love with other people in your situation, the odds are just so heavily stacked against you.
November 14th, 2007 at 12:45 am
I love her too, Bobby. I love her too.
(b ‘ ‘)b! on the page.
November 14th, 2007 at 12:48 am
Great webcomic. I really like your style and love the characters. I just wish there was more to read.
November 14th, 2007 at 12:55 am
Stasia is so incredibly sweet and nice, I want to reach for the screen and try to hug her.
And I choose to believe that Stasia gradually realized that Parker was just making things up as she went along. “He auditioned for a role as a pirate in a movie about pirates but the casting director said he seemed too much like a pirate”…that one cracked me up.
November 14th, 2007 at 3:31 am
Great page! Makes me think of a Swedish poem:
Den drömmen som aldrig besannats,
som dröm var den vacker att få.
För den som ur Eden förbannats
är Eden ett Eden ändå.
Approximate translation:
The dream that came not true, but vanished
was so beautiful for me to get.
Even though I from Eden am banished
it’s a marvellous, lovely place yet.
November 14th, 2007 at 3:42 am
Awwww… I actually teared up a bit after reading this one.
I swung from disliking Parker from the previous page to giggling along with her joke, to wanting to hug and comfort a fictional character.
Stasia is just too awesome.
November 14th, 2007 at 6:32 am
Who wouldn’t feel it terribly unfair? Imagine being in love with someone and then having your best friend go and marry them. Horribly unfair. But, I wish to see Stasia (who is the best ever! …you’re in my pants, lol) and Guy interact. How are we supposed to learn how they feel about each other?
November 14th, 2007 at 6:53 am
I love Parker. I think I said it before xD. She’s just awesome, this page proved it, hahaha. Stasia’s nice, but she shouldn’t let Parker get her hopes up… if she doesn’t want anything, that is. It’s pretty painful to hear the “I want us to be friends” speech from the person you love…not to mention absolutely worship in Parker’s case. *hugs Parker* You go girl!
November 14th, 2007 at 7:03 am
Cuuuuuuuuuute…
November 14th, 2007 at 7:12 am
Cutest page ever. *Less than three*
Great job. =)
November 14th, 2007 at 7:56 am
the last two panels just made me go AWWWWWWWW
November 14th, 2007 at 9:50 am
That’s some amazing turnaround, from the reactions to the last page.
November 14th, 2007 at 10:20 am
I was kinda iff on this comic but as usual Mr. Crosby Good Stroyline and in general great comic…though Parker annoys me abit to bad zombie wouldnt come by and take a nibble out of her.
November 14th, 2007 at 10:23 am
After the “aww”ing subsided my respect for Stasia…and Parker, for that matter…just basically expanded. You guys make them so real that I’m actually sitting over here thinking “welp, Guy’s going to fall for her for sure now, I wonder what Parker will do when he’s not around anymore? Will she have to move or get a new job or…”
Yeah. Wow. Beautifully done, thank you Bobby and Eisu
November 14th, 2007 at 10:31 am
Meh.
Is it just me, or are lesbians crushing out on unatainable straight women a running theme with you? Far from being angry at Parker, I feel like your writing condescends to her character. Yeah, the object of her desire is pretty unrealistic to begin with- a celebrity. But her best friend has gotten what she’s dreamed about forever, and wearing Stasia’s pants and being in her presence is what’s supposed to make up for it? I feel like Stasia’s almost patting her on the head in that last panel.
It doesn’t seem very probable that Stasia really wants to be Parker’s friend. More likely, she just wants to calm her down and keep her from getting in the way between her and Guy. It isn’t as though Parker’s been much more than comic relief so far, anyway.
Maybe I’m being a bit harsh, but I get pissy when lesbians are there just to distract a bit from the main, het plotline.
November 14th, 2007 at 10:58 am
Awwww!!! I love Stasia… and Parker, but mostly Stasia! She’s so nice for a pop diva, haha.
November 14th, 2007 at 11:14 am
That line in the fifth panel has got to be the weirdest line ever uttered
November 14th, 2007 at 2:44 pm
Ana’s so gullible. xD
November 14th, 2007 at 4:04 pm
Wait… *STASIA’S* the mature one?
November 14th, 2007 at 4:06 pm
“Is it just me, or are lesbians crushing out on unatainable straight women a running theme with you?”
“No Pink Ponies” is 100% Eisu in every way and I write “Marry Me” while he illustrates it. So it’s just you, yes, no running theme.
“But her best friend has gotten what she’s dreamed about forever, and wearing Stasia’s pants and being in her presence is what’s supposed to make up for it?”
Hey, if you’ve read any previous comments pages, like for Page 50, you know I’m on your side here when it comes to Parker and thinking she has good reason to be very emotional about all this, but still, look at what Parker could have EXPECTED to happen from last night’s concert: Goes to concert, has great time, maybe if she’s lucky gets to touch a piece of Stasia for a split second (maybe while getting her hand signed) and that’s it. Instead she got all of this, tons of time with her, wearing her pants, flying on her jet — it’s like the Make-A-Wish Foundation planned it, other than the part where her best friend is possibly married to Stasia (probably not!).
“Yeah, the object of her desire is pretty unrealistic to begin with- a celebrity.”
Also a STRAIGHT celebrity.
“I feel like Stasia’s almost patting her on the head in that last panel.”
Why shouldn’t she be? She barely knows this girl, this person, who, like millions of others, is in love with her, and now the girl’s crying and she’s trying to comfort her. Stasia’s in a very awkward situation there and she was also just lied to by this girl, although it was clearly a joke by the end. Most of the people commenting on Page 50 think that Stasia should have thrown her out of the plane!
“It isn’t as though Parker’s been much more than comic relief so far, anyway.”
LOL. It’s a romantic comedy. What’s wrong with being comic relief? She’s also the only person to have cried in the comic and she just had the most dramatic scene yet.
“I get pissy when lesbians are there just to distract a bit from the main, het plotline.”
The “distract a bit” part is all in your head. Was Spike in “Notting Hill” just there to distract a bit from the main plotline? No, he was there because he was funny, among other reasons. “Marry Me” is not about a lesbian relationship, but it does feature a lesbian in a role that could have easily gone to a straight person instead. I don’t really see what there is to complain about. Are all lesbians in stories supposed to find true love and live happily ever after or what? That certainly doesn’t happen to all straight people, especially when they’re not the stars.
November 14th, 2007 at 4:31 pm
Well said, Bobby, well said.
Great job again. I love it when we get new pages!!!
November 14th, 2007 at 4:37 pm
Stasia is now officially awesome in my books.
November 14th, 2007 at 9:48 pm
Awwwww…
I ♥ Parker. And Stasia’s pretty cool in this comic, too.
November 14th, 2007 at 9:51 pm
X3
This comic makes me smile.
A lot.
Awesome job. ^-^
November 14th, 2007 at 10:36 pm
Oh poor parker =D. Is so cute n_n
November 14th, 2007 at 11:32 pm
For me, this was a very “awwww” moment.. I just started on Last Blood tonight, but I’ve been reading this comic since it started, I’m enjoying this quite a bit and it’s definately a movie I’ll be seeing.
November 15th, 2007 at 2:10 am
very cute. ^-^
November 15th, 2007 at 1:35 pm
I know it would never happen….but just looking at those two……i might have lesbain dreams about them now ^^ they’re soo cute together XD
anyways ^^, its adorable…and funny, and ive loved parker from the beggining, i dont get why people dont like her…seriously….shes not viciously trying to steal stasia away…….to do that you usually need the one your trying to steal to atleast like your gender…and stasia’s strait…so itd never work. ^^
November 15th, 2007 at 1:50 pm
Omigosh, Parker looks so cute in the last panel. Stasia’s such a sweet girl.
November 15th, 2007 at 2:43 pm
Ooookay, i’m starting to get obsessed with your work now. Love this one soo much!!! I love new webcomics! Thank yooou for THAT!
November 15th, 2007 at 4:13 pm
Ok I just HAVE to say this.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww!
Cuuuuuuuuuuuuteeeee
(^_^)
November 15th, 2007 at 10:55 pm
Wow..I’ve never commented before.
But..
I love the way Stasia it totally handelling it.
November 16th, 2007 at 12:55 am
Because most of the comments for Page 50 said, “Screw you, Parker, I hope you DIE!”
Most of the people commenting on Page 50 think that Stasia should have thrown her out of the plane!
Mr. Bobby Crosby,
Look, I think I speak for all of us when I say we’re SORRY we were being so harsh on Parker previously. But don’t you think you’re exaggerating? Yes, many of your readers thought she was being mean, and said so. But as far as I could tell, nobody told her to drop dead, and many comments seemed to suggest that Parker’s behaviour was just good fun.
November 16th, 2007 at 12:58 am
“But don’t you think you’re exaggerating?”
Not at all, no.
“But as far as I could tell, nobody told her to drop dead”
I’m sure at least one did and many strongly implied similar things. People openly talked about how Guy should beat the shit out of her, as I recall.
“many comments seemed to suggest that Parker’s behaviour was just good fun.”
Correct, those were from the smart people.
November 16th, 2007 at 2:23 am
This made me giggle.
November 16th, 2007 at 2:38 am
Yay smart people and miniature last blood crossover!!
November 16th, 2007 at 3:41 am
Aww, that’s so cute. I love Parker. It must be just awful for her though..
November 16th, 2007 at 11:16 am
Ana looks so gulled in panel 3 it’s amazing to me. Just keep loving her more and more.
And Guy is too awesome to be true. What’s up with that?
November 16th, 2007 at 12:31 pm
It seems to me that Ana has led a very sheltered life (as far as that is possible for a popstar) and probably had very little direct contact to her Fans or at least the creepy stalker kind. She’s been doing this for seven years and doesn’t get annoyed by or even angry at someone who can only be a pushy fan from her perspetive. And with her Father and Sister’s reaction, not to mention her own often naive or childish actions, it seems like they probably kept a lot of the negative sides of being a star away from her.
Or she’s just overly sweet or its the fact that she can’t really get away on a plane
November 16th, 2007 at 4:42 pm
Stasia’s such a nice girl. And Parker’s sweet, too! I hope they are best friends.
November 16th, 2007 at 5:01 pm
“It seems to me that Ana has led a very sheltered life”
No, opposite. Least sheltered life of any pop star like her probably. I’ve talked about it before, and the comic itself has strongly hinted at it, since she’s devoted her whole life to charity basically and she goes to Africa to do charity work to feel NORMAL. She’s with regular people all the time.
November 16th, 2007 at 9:58 pm
first time reader. this novel is as great as a book novel/comedy. ore beter than eny I have read. novels read: 6
November 16th, 2007 at 11:14 pm
We love parker,
but we all hate Francis more.
November 17th, 2007 at 6:22 am
Poor Parker. She’s got such a fickle audience going for her. One minute hated, then hated again, and then loved. Switches awfully fast for her, for some reason. Stasia too, I suppose.
Great work…stumbled on this one and got addicted. Like I needed *more* comics to distract me from work.
Keep it up!
November 17th, 2007 at 2:43 pm
OOH EM GEE–i just started reading today & I wubbles this comic. More, MORE!
November 17th, 2007 at 6:00 pm
I think Stasia is an awesome charecter. Rather than being stuck up and uncaring like most of the pop sensations, she tries to comfort Parker. Also, spending that much time and money on charity is way beyond what anyone would expect. She doesn’t just donate, she ‘donates’ to herself and leaves the rest of it to the people who really need it.
The world would be a better place if more people followed the mindset you guys have given her! Keep up the awesome work!
November 18th, 2007 at 2:45 am
I don’t know. I kind of liked Parker as the jealous best friend, and now, she’s not going to be jealous anymore. Also, I kinda dislike the lack of real interaction between the hero and villain, (sorry I couldn’t think of a better term,) and was hoping Parker would continue the outrageous lies which made me laugh. “He auditioned for a role as a pirate in a movie about pirates, but the casting director said he seemed to much like a pirate.”
November 18th, 2007 at 5:57 pm
AWWWW PARKER AND HER LOOK SO CUTEE TOGETHER!!!!!!!! P/S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 18th, 2007 at 10:36 pm
This is such a lame comic. Completely unbelievable and 100% LAME
November 18th, 2007 at 10:49 pm
Thanks for sharing Qwerty, im sure those of us who love this comic and actualy appricate good art will take it into deep consideration when commenting on the next page…
November 18th, 2007 at 10:52 pm
I love this comic!
But I would also love it more if it did update M-W-F… Sorry.
November 18th, 2007 at 11:59 pm
Dear GOD Stasia’s face in that last panel IS SO CUTE!
November 19th, 2007 at 1:25 am
we’ve already been over the M-W-F bit guys, give it a rest.
and Qwerty, if you think this comic is lame then don’t waste your time posting on a forum that is read primarily by people that like this comic. just like anyone you’re allowed to have your opinion but unless you’re just trying to piss people off because you have nothing better to do with your sorry excuse for a life i suggest you go find something productive to do and leave us to a work of art that we actually enjoy.
Nice work Bobby and Eisu, as usual. any idea when the next update might be coming? i’m looking forward to it.
November 19th, 2007 at 1:31 am
Haven’t even written it yet, sadly, but I finally came up with something decent to happen in it tonight. Should finish the script within 24 hours and probably a new page by Friday, but I’m not sure.
November 19th, 2007 at 9:58 am
heh, how do i donate 50 bucks so you can get more pages done?
November 19th, 2007 at 12:58 pm
In the meantime go check out http://lastblood.net/ Which is equaly awesome.
November 19th, 2007 at 3:28 pm
Qwerty… If you are anything other than an illiterate 10-year-old boy or anything less than George Carlin, I’m sorry but you are one of the saddest haters I have ever seen. Anyway, I love the comic and I hope Parker will find someone of her sexual orientation, because as aforementioned, “aww” sums up this strip.
November 20th, 2007 at 5:23 am
I love this webcomic. I hope there will be an update soon.
I’m really impressed by how well this comic can sway the emotions of the readers. This page really made me go awww. I also liked the way my fellow readers responded to the busdriver a few pages back.
Just curious if this comic is ever going to be a movie, who should be the actors?
November 20th, 2007 at 7:34 am
Part of me wants the next update to come soon, but part of me is really glad it hasn’t yet, because I love loading up the Marry Me page every morning and seeing this strip… the expressions on Parker’s face are just to die for. =)
November 20th, 2007 at 1:31 pm
Wow. I am actually going into withdrawl.
Need. More.
November 20th, 2007 at 4:36 pm
So.. this is my first visit. Love the story you’ve got going, and Eisu’s artwork is brilliant. Last page, I had just assumed Parker was having them on for a bit of amusement before telling them the truth about Guy.
Guy’s taking this remarkably well, considering.
Ana is sweet to befriend Parker, when I think most people would (and could!) just consider her a nut job. We don’t of course, since we see more of Parker’s thoughts and motivations throughout the story than Ana does.
Janny… not sure what I think about her yet. Can’t tell quite what her agenda is yet, if she even has one. I think I may like her, tho. ^.~
The Assistant… what about Rupert Richmond?
Well, I’m so very impatiently waiting for more. Thanks for sharing your talents with us, guys!
CT.
November 21st, 2007 at 3:26 am
I want Stasia and Parker to hook up! They would be so much cuter together! Why choose the nerd over the hot crazy girl? Everyone know that crazies are great in bed! XD
November 21st, 2007 at 6:49 am
khem. i know i’m pain in the ass but doesn’t it say “new page every mon-wed-fri” ? change it please because this sounds like a huge irony.
anyway, i absolutely love the comic. only this small thing makes me angry
kisses for stasia- though i don’t believe any pop(rock)star would could act this not-so-much-spoiled way
November 21st, 2007 at 8:38 am
Here we go again….*facepalm*
November 21st, 2007 at 9:34 am
Am I the only one thinking of lolcats when reading the fifth panel ?
Like “I R in Ur plane, waring Ur Pantz” ?
Sorry. Probably too much Internet for me.
November 21st, 2007 at 12:24 pm
I love this comic, its so sweet.
I bet theyll end up with a threesome though
November 21st, 2007 at 3:35 pm
I agree with mina. It’s a small thing, but annoying. It’s also why I’m not voting for this comic in the top 100 or whatever. To get my vote, you need to update more than every 8-10 days. This is a great comic with (IMHO) adequate art, but dragging it out like this is irritating. Eventually the story is not worth the irritation to me.

You guys know it’s a free online comic? I mean, if that little thing bothers you, you don’t have to come back and read it… I don’t get it, why can such a little thing anger people so much? It’s a small thing, VERY small thing… you don’t even have to pay to see this thing and if you hate it so much, don’t come see it… I mean, so it says that, but doesn’t do it, so what? It’s not a big deal… irritating? Don’t come every day then, come once a week or twice a month… you’ll have at least 2 or 3 pages to read then… you guys say it bothers you, but you do realise you are complaining about an absolutely FREE thing? We’re not forcing you guys to come every M-W-F, it’s absolutely up to your choice whether you wanna come every day or every M-W-F or every other week… it’s free guys, try not to complain about it so much… despite what you think, there is no entitlement when it comes to a free thing…
November 21st, 2007 at 4:33 pm
(and before anything, I do read online comics and I do see those that are updated sporadically with their websites saying “Updates this and that” but I never even ONCE feel like I should complain about it or even feel annoyed because they didn’t update when they said they would at this and that day… I realise these people are giving this to me for free and if there’s any payment to be made it’s from donations and even that is a choice if I want to or not)
November 21st, 2007 at 5:00 pm
While it’s true that this is a free comic, the M-W-F thing on top of the page makes people expect a comic every M-W-F. And that’s a promise you can’t meet.
Imagine a friend of yours promised to go to the movie with you in two days, and two days later he doesn’s show up. You’d be annoyed too right? This is like that. Smaller, but like that.
If you’d change it to ‘updates once a week’ or ‘updates when I feel like it’ or something like that, people will be less annoyed.
(Aargh! I haven’t spoken English for far too long. I sucks now.)

Pretty incredible that morons are still saying these insanely stupid things. There is NO PROMISE and never has been a promise. You have eyes, don’t you? You can read? If so, did you somehow never take a gander at the DATES on the pages or even glance at the lighted up days on the calendar? One simple glance at any of the MANY places that show the dates of the pages will clearly tell you that it hasn’t been an MWF updating comic for a long time and that lately there has only been a few pages per month. Your definition of “promise” is way the hell off if you somehow think there’s ever been a promise on this site of a new page every MWF. Feel free to Google my much longer answers on this incredibly stupid topic and the reason for why I’ll never change the sign up there. Anyone who cares about this has absolutely no brain in their head.

See, Ace, here’s the thing. After I read Mina’s and Thessik’s comments, I was ready to jump down their throats in defense of you and Bobby. Especially after Thessik’s comment about your art– I absolutely love your style, it’s different from what I’m used to seeing and it lets you put so much emotion into your characters’ faces. But now that I’ve read your reply, I find my position on their comments changing.
No, your readers are not entitled to demand changes the same way, say, a patron or a stockholder could. After all, they’re not giving you any money or support for this, nor have you asked for any. But they certainly have a right to voice their opinions, whether they’re positive feedback on the art, or the story, or the website, or the advertising, or negative feedback on the same things. Or anything else. Mind you, this comment forum is your forum, so you also have the right to delete comments, ban posters, anything you want. Of course, I’m not suggesting that you should do that, or even that you /would/– that’d be a surefire way to lose your readership really quickly.
And that’s what it comes down to. No, you’re not getting paid for this comic. But I happen to know from personal experience that getting positive feedback and having a fan base are two of the big reasons why people publish their creative works online. If no one at all read these comics, I’m fairly certain that both you and Bobby would lose your motivation for creating them in short order. So– unless I’m totally mistaken about this– your fans are the lifeblood of this comic. That doesn’t mean you should try and please everyone, because that never works, but it does mean you should respect your readership. If your reaction to criticism is always defensive and hostile, like your comment was, then some people that would otherwise keep reading your comic will stop. Maybe a small percentage, but they exist. On the other hand, if you accept criticism as well as you accept praise (this doesn’t mean changing things to satisfy people, it means respecting their opinions), then more people are likely to read, just for the novelty of participating in a community where the authors actually listen to their readers.
So yes. It is in your best interests to listen to your readers’ opinions, even when they say “I don’t like this” about something you’ve put out there. And if you want a more relevant argument, consider this: if you say “updates every M-W-F”, and someone stumbles on your comic on Monday, reads through the archives, comes back Wednesday, no comic, comes back Friday, no comic, comes back Monday, still no comic, chances are fair they’ll think of this as just another abandoned webcomic and never come back. That’s what I thought, until a friend happened to point me to this comic again and I noticed it had, in fact, updated. On the other hand, if you change that and say, “updated every other week or so”, you certainly won’t lose any readers– no one who has been here for any time is under the impression that you put out three updates a week, obviously. But if someone new finds the comic, they’ll know not to give up on it just because it doesn’t update for a dozen days. Take Something Positive, for example– the update schedule is currently just “a lot”. Before it was Randy’s full-time job, it was “whenever I feel like it”. Did that lose him readers? No, of course not, he has enough readers that they’re paying for him to do this full-time through donations. So, to sum up: lying to or misleading your readers is never a good thing. And people are allowed to complain, even about something that’s free, and you are allowed to ignore or respond to that as you see fit. You’re not publishing this webcomic as a favor to your readers, you’re doing it because you enjoy creating, and having an active reader base gives you pleasure and validation and helps you enjoy creating even more. It’s a symbiotic relationship– so think before you do anything that would upset that balance.
November 21st, 2007 at 5:10 pm
(Bobby, I hadn’t seen your comment yet. But what I said applies to you as well, so I’ll do as you ask and Google the other things you’ve said about this.)
November 21st, 2007 at 5:19 pm
About the MWF thing… I think it’s an “as you advertise, so should you do” thing. It’s not a question of whether or not the comic is free, it’s whether or not it lives up to the what it says on the banner, which they may have seen on some other site before ever arriving here.
There are comics that are very good about their update schedules (Girl Genius), almost as good (+EV) and not very good at all (Suicide for Hire). (I do credit Rafael Medina of Suicide for Hire with letting his readers know, when possible, about schedule problems either in advance or as soon after the fact as can be managed.)
So while anyone who has been here long wnough knows that the MWF schedule isn’t likely to return, new arrivals to the site will not be so well informed.
November 21st, 2007 at 5:25 pm
“You’re not publishing this webcomic as a favor to your readers”
Uh, every single thing you said in your comment was completely wrong, but I’ll start with this one. YES, WE ARE PUTTING THIS ONLINE AS A FAVOR TO OUR READERS. As I’ve said a million times, if this comic was exclusively on WOWIO we’d be making a TON MORE MONEY, like a crazy ton, but we’re insanely nice, so we’ve decided to let you guys read it here instead of having to sign up for WOWIO, since about 30% of our readers don’t live in America.
“you also have the right to delete comments, ban posters, anything you want. Of course, I’m not suggesting that you should do that, or even that you /would/– that’d be a surefire way to lose your readership really quickly.”
I’ve banned over 100 people from these comments — all piece of shit assholes who waste time talking about pointless shit like the update schedule and whining about it instead of just talking about the comic. I’ve also let hundreds of them stay and keep posting, even though most other people would have banned those too, I’m sure.
“No, you’re not getting paid for this comic.”
If WOWIO stays around for another year, we’ll be making at least $10,000 per year from that alone. If we removed the comics from this site, you could at the very least double that amount.
“So– unless I’m totally mistaken about this– your fans are the lifeblood of this comic.”
Totally mistaken, yes. Try reading through past comments that are constantly showing that everything you’re saying here is totally mistaken. This project was designed simply to publish the graphic novel and use that to help sell the screenplay. Putting the comics online was just an afterthought, a nice treat to give you guys, and we thought at the time that we’d definitely keep the MWF schedule, but it didn’t work out that way, and people complained SO MUCH and lied so much and were so insanely angry that it was disgusting. You should see all the deleted comments that were 20 times worse than the ones I left up.
“but it does mean you should respect your readership.”
I’m not going to respect anyone who doesn’t respect me, especially the insane idiots who would actually whine about an update schedule, jeez.
“chances are fair they’ll think of this as just another abandoned webcomic and never come back.”
Good for them, great! I don’t want people that stupid to read the comic anyway.
Also –
“Imagine a friend of yours promised to go to the movie with you in two days, and two days later he doesn’s show up. You’d be annoyed too right?”
LOL! Here’s a better, ACCURATE analogy: Imagine a stranger told you they’d let you read a comic they made 13 times a month, but instead they only let you read it 4-5 times a month, and this has been going on for almost a year like this, would you be annoyed if on any given Wednesday he didn’t let you read the comic, when you KNOW based on all prior evidence that you should have no clue when to expect a new page to read? That’s exactly what’s going on here.
“So while anyone who has been here long wnough knows that the MWF schedule isn’t likely to return, new arrivals to the site will not be so well informed.”
Oh, because they DON’T HAVE EYES and somehow missed the DATES on all the comics which they can see in about a MILLION different places while reading through the pages? It’s like you haven’t read anything I’ve said, which is obvious. I’m bad with names, but I’m 99% sure this is someone who has been banned from these comments for being a piece of shit asshole, by the way. I often let previously banned people make new comments, though, because I’m an idiot.
November 21st, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Wow. You’re really bad at this whole public-relations thing. You know that the fact that you actually make money off your readers– through WOWIO– actually means it’s /more/ important that you try and attract as large a reader base as possible, not less important, right? You can’t make money off readers you don’t have, after all. And, since you have published this online, a high readership count is pretty much essential if you want to get a movie studio to look at your story. Or do you think they’d go for a script that has already proven to be unpopular? But, since you seem to be either unable or unwilling (or possibly both) to understand the basic principles of how people work, I’m not going to go to any more effort to try and be helpful. This would be the sound of you driving one of your readers away– not that you care, of course, you don’t want people who aren’t going to blindly praise all of your work to be commenting here.
If you really want to respond to this, you’ll have to email me, since I won’t be checking this site anymore.
November 21st, 2007 at 7:38 pm
LOL, just like everyone else. Feel free to Google my responses to the 10 people or so who have said the exact same thing. Basically everything you just said was a lie that made no sense. I’ve gone over it all many times before. And you’re definitely reading this — hello!
By the way, here’s part of a comment of mine from Page 45 –
————————–
“if they weren’t available on this site, you’d get less exposure, and have no way of building interest.”
Total nonsense. We’ve been strongly promoting WOWIO downloads on this site for exactly one month now, since the first issue went up, and in that time over 100,000 different people have visited this site. An educated guess based on many stats says that less than 1,000 of them have downloaded any issues. The majority of downloads have come from other sources than this site, like the small amount of advertising we’ve done and mostly just from people browsing WOWIO and especially browsing the top 10 list on WOWIO. Either way, though, you say we’d have no way of building interest??? Have you ever heard of advertising? At least one book which is a top 10 mainstay on WOWIO has hardly any readers at all on their actual site (I can’t even find the site right now after five minutes of Google searching, so they might have even taken it down) and yet they get a lot of downloads from doing lots of advertising. The reason “Last Blood” has been #1 for the past four days is because we have an ad running on “Misfile,” which is the same reason why “WICKEDPOWERED” was #1 all of last week, and it’s extremely profitable to do such advertisements. Keep in mind, though, that just like with regular readers of this site, the people who find the comic through those ads can always just search for “Marry Me” and come to this site and choose to read it for free here as opposed to reading it for free on WOWIO where you have to deal with signing up for something and possibly using a credit card. People only go through things like that if they badly want to, which is the sole reason for the WOWIO-exclusive content, like the sketch of Parker kissing Stasia, to increase the percentage of visitors of this site who will sign up and download the books.
If the comics were no longer available on this site, my guess is that at least 25,000 more people in the next year would download the issues on WOWIO than otherwise would have just chose to read them on here. By the end of that one-year period we’ll probably have at least five issues on WOWIO, and at 50 cents each, that’s $2.50 per person. The five issues won’t be up for the whole year, though, so let’s say an average of having 3.5 issues up in that time, which is $1.75 per person, times 25,000 equals $43,750 more that we would have made if we didn’t have the comics available for free online. It’s basically insane not to do it, but it would royally suck for the foreign readers and we’re on pace to make so much money anyway from WOWIO that we can live with it at the moment, but if you guys give me enough excuses, there’s definitely a chance that I’ll just shut this site down.
———————
And also from the same page –
——————–
I fully realize that a large number of people who found out about WOWIO from this site have downloaded the books, as I already stated. The problem is that less than 1% of the visitors of this site have downloaded the books. If the comics were removed from this site, I’m guessing that number would shoot up to at least 15%, since WOWIO would now be the only place they could read the comics.
——————
And another –
——————-
“Without the web site the only way you’d ever get me back to DL another issue would be to put my name on a mailing list to notify me whenever a new issue was available.”
Obviously the site would stay up, but it would just be a big ad for the WOWIO books basically. The comics would be removed. The readership has increased in the past month with only a couple new pages going up, so I’m sure people would keep coming back for quite a while.
Keep in mind that there was no need to even put the comics online in the first place. We started this with no thoughts of an online site — it was entirely just about making the graphic novel and printing/publishing that and using that to help get a movie deal. A total afterthought was the decision to put the comic pages online while we were making them, and at the time we thought we could put up three pages per week for sure, but unexpected things came up and we’ve been unable to for a while. So many of you got SO PISSED OFF at this and acted in such a sickening manner about it, that I decided not to change the sign partly just to piss those morons off and not give in to anything they’d possibly want. But also because it’s just pointless in general and doesn’t matter in any way except to total idiot assholes, and because at any time we could switch back to three comics per week. Shortly after we get our first WOWIO check there’s a very good chance that “Marry Me” will start running at least three times per week and then we’d just have to change the pointless sign back again. Once again, DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT. Visit the site once a month or never if it’s that big of a problem for you.
So anyway, the initial plan was for it only to be a printed graphic novel and that the only way any of you could read it was to buy that thing for like $15 or whatever it would cost. NOW the WORST CASE SCENARIO is that you MIGHT have to download the WOWIO books for FREE and read them there for free instead of here for free, and people somehow still complain about that even. And it’s not like foreigners would be totally screwed — they’d still have the option to wait and buy the graphic novel when it’s done obviously, and it’s not like it’s all that hard to get something off the internet if they really wanted to. There are torrents of “Last Blood” issues up all over the place, including the specific ones that are on WOWIO.
————-
Basically the comments of Page 45 (and most pages, really) disprove everything you just said, especially the part about only allowing comments from people who give praise, jeez.
November 22nd, 2007 at 12:18 am
Whoa…If there was any webcomic I expected to see a war break out in the comments of, it wouldn’t have been this one….
Personally, I’m _way_ too busy shaking, fidgeting, and going through the other symptoms to say one lousy word.
November 22nd, 2007 at 1:51 am
I have three majors in the social Science
History, Philsophy, and Sociology
And disturbingly enough I have not heard anyone else bitch about more inane things than you losers (and thats a fucking feat). Its a friggin comic dont write a five page dissertation on why Bobby sucks just read the damn comic and get the hell over yourselves.
November 22nd, 2007 at 1:54 am
LOL.
November 22nd, 2007 at 3:52 am
Hey Bobby, Eisu, I just started reading this thing tonight. A friend told me about it a couple of days ago and I finally got around to reading it. Anyway, I like it. I like it a lot. I read the whole archive in the last two hours. Good story, great art. I like the characters a lot. The premise and idea is killer, I can’t believe I haven’t heard/seen this used before. Hell, I can’t believe I haven’t heard of it happening in real life before. If it’s been done before, I haven’t heard of it. You don’t often find really original or seldom used ideas in comics, both print and web. I really hope this project works out for a movie.
And don’t listen to the assclowns who bitch about how their free comic isn’t updated as often as they’d like. Your loyal readers will keep checking and reading until you decide to end the comic. I mean, I still check to see if RPG World has updated for crying out loud…
But yeah, keep up the good work guys, you have fans both new and old.
November 22nd, 2007 at 5:12 am
“But I happen to know from personal experience that getting positive feedback and having a fan base are two of the big reasons why people publish their creative works online.”
See, if this is the reason you’re doing and/or publishing webcomics or whatever online, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons… I do NOT do webcomics online so that I can get fanbase or positive feedback, hells no, if that’s the case, in the long run I’m gonna be one sad and angry case of an artist… I’m keeping civil here, remember that… see, the REAL reason you should put your creative works online is to share it with people who has the same interest as you… who can love it as much as you would… with this reason, you can stay online with your creative works and not be bitter… if all you’re doing is just to create a fanbase, then you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place…
November 22nd, 2007 at 6:11 am
“If your reaction to criticism is always defensive and hostile, like your comment was,”
Also, please point out in which part of my post was hostile? I mean, I always try my best not to be hostile in my replies…
November 22nd, 2007 at 6:26 am
“Imagine a friend of yours promised to go to the movie with you in two days, and two days later he doesn’s show up. You’d be annoyed too right? This is like that. Smaller, but like that.”
Actually, for me, this is nothing like that… see, with your analogy, you’re making promise with a FRIEND… me and you? We’re strangers… we’re not obligated to be truely true to each other… not that we can’t, we’re just not obligated to… and another thing, a friend promised to go to the movies, cool, you go to the movies and he doesn’t show up, yes, annoying, but… you do know this is the internet? You type to go to this site and all you get is finger excercise… no real “waiting at a place for a friend to show up” or “Already paid good money to see but the friend didn’t show up” thing… to me, this being free and on the internet, totally makes it ABSOLUTELY different than the example you gave… when you said that our case is smaller than the cinema friend, yes… it is… you just didn’t grasp how absolutely small it is… it’s so small, that it’s totally different…
November 22nd, 2007 at 6:36 am
“Also, please point out in which part of my post was hostile?”
No part was hostile. Some people just love to lie about other people and put other people down for whatever sick reason. I mean, come on, these are the comments for a wacky romantic comedy comic and people scream their heads off because it doesn’t update as often as they want, and it’s not like they’re just badly wanting more — no, they’re genuinely PISSED OFF about it. It’s disgusting. I know you’ve had similar comments from fans of “No Pink Ponies” too. Some people are just incredibly stupid, that’s all.
November 22nd, 2007 at 10:12 am
Well, in my opinion, this could update only once a YEAR and I would still check every day to see if it was up. :3 Thanks for the comic!
November 22nd, 2007 at 11:09 am
Happy Thanksgiving to All Americans reading!
November 22nd, 2007 at 11:21 am
Damn Wowio to the fiery pits of hell for not be available to non United States residents. I want to read webcomics for free too damnit. That’s like the dumbest thing I ever had to endure from a stupid site.
November 22nd, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Sounds like the dumb thing would be trying to join a site that’s for Americans only when you’re not in America. My blog post says “WOWIO is currently only available to United States residents.”
November 22nd, 2007 at 6:59 pm
So, wait, this Bobby person is actually someone official?
You’re pretty rude and condescending. I don’t like that. Goodbye.
November 22nd, 2007 at 7:02 pm
Someone official, LOL.
November 22nd, 2007 at 8:25 pm
no no he’s not, he just writes the thing.
November 22nd, 2007 at 10:15 pm
Wow, what a stupid argument (if that makes me stupid for getting involved, well I can deal with that.)
If you have a problem with the update schedule stop saying you will stop reading, just STOP that way the rest of us don’t have to read your WLB comments!
For all those people who think that Bobby should be polite because you reading will make all the difference well if that is the case show him your displeasure and go away.
The rest of us (myself included) who like the comic enough will deal with infrequent updates and continue reading / downloading the comic. It is simple market forces.
Why should a writer be polite? You read the comic for the writing and entertainment NOT because the writer is such a nice guy (no offence Bobby, you may be a really nice guy) do you care if the person who paints a picture is a nice guy, do you care if Picasso was a prick? my point is that it makes no difference.
As I am sure Bobby is aware writing is NOT a service industry he has no professional requirement to be polite (not to say he can’t be if he wants to) so if you like the comic, read the comic and talk about the comic. If not well what are you doing wasting your time reading this post?
Keep up the great work guys and I look forward to your next page.
p.s. I think part of the reason you get so many bitchy comments about the update schedule is because the comic is really good, everyone wants more and unfortunately most of the people making these comments do not have the patience to let a good thing happen in its own time.
November 22nd, 2007 at 10:42 pm
Happy Thanksgiving, my friends. I’d reassure you, Bobby and Eisu, that any whiny comments about the update schedule are absolutely ridiculous, but I’m fairly sure you both have the common sense to understand that without me.
November 23rd, 2007 at 5:53 am
Eisu, I’m not trying to attack you. I’m fine with a once a week update. I’m just trying to make you understand why people are annoyed.
I’m not taking sides here.
November 23rd, 2007 at 6:28 am
meh! I’m fine with waiting, but it seems like this will not be updating in my life time >_
November 23rd, 2007 at 2:58 pm
I read about 8 web comics (I know, I know. Shut up). Out of the 8, only 2 of them consistently update according to the posted schedule. Three others take a stab (with varying success) at regular updates and the rest… well, they update when they update.
So maybe I’m just reading the wrong comics, but it never even occurred to me to wonder why “Marry Me” doesn’t update 3x a week.
November 23rd, 2007 at 4:14 pm
Sadly, I read over 30 webcomics. I check them all daily because I’m too lazy to keep track of when each one’s supposed to update. Thus, I don’t even notice when a comic gets off its supposed schedule. Mainly, I’m ridiculously impressed that people can manage to do this at all to worry about when I’ll get my next dose.
My suggestion to anyone annoyed at not getting updates when they expect- pick up another comic to read in the meantime. and another. and another.
November 23rd, 2007 at 5:30 pm
I agree with Carlyarlyarly. There’s 2601 other webcomics a reader can read here on Topwebcomics (the link I followed here the first time I read it anyways).
At first Marryme updated at a regular pace, and when it didn’t I read Bobby’s answer when someone posted that question. Simple as that.
November 23rd, 2007 at 8:34 pm
“Damn Wowio to the fiery pits of hell for not be available to non United States residents. I want to read webcomics for free too damnit. That’s like the dumbest thing I ever had to endure from a stupid site.”
Well, you don’t really have to worry about Marry Me, the pages on this page is farther than the one on WOWIO
November 24th, 2007 at 10:07 am
Not only that, there are a few comics that are worse and a few comics that update always. The two that regularly updating being Retail & Questionable Content, and while I’d love for Marryme to get going again (new reader), there a comics that are much worse. I’m talking about of course, Gone With the Blastwave, the most least updated comic ever and the dude who runs the site went on a “break” a few months back after not updating for a few months (He Hasn’t updated since July, 07). Then again, most webcomics are done because *gasps* the artist/writer do it for themselves, and in most cases it isn’t always going to be their top priority in life. I mean unless they’re being payed by a publisher for regular updates (ya know, like a job), its always going to take a back seat when people have other things that are more important (like my brother, he has a little known webcomic but well he’s sorta in Iraq at the moment, so its unlikely he’ll update anytime soon).
Anyway, love the comic, bu-bye!
November 24th, 2007 at 10:08 am
Eh, the two that update regularly for me, did not mean to make it sound like that only two comics in the entire world regularly update.
November 24th, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Hmm. You say you write for Last Blood, too? I’m surprised. See, Last Blood was good, but it was like you wrote the script, then sent it to some hack who (badly) rewrote half of it, you know? It was really good in some parts, and crap in the other parts.
Here, this comic is great. Thought I think that Last Blood would definitely need some editing (and I’m thrilled you recognize that, too) this is perfect, as is.
Though it does sadden me that this is basically just a miniseries.
November 24th, 2007 at 10:56 pm
Hehehehe….. HAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
Bobby, my apologies if you think I’m laughing to you. I am enjoying the reading of comments that are bashing some of the craziest thing. The Schedule?
My roommate and I both read this comic and neither of us pointed out the other, we both just came across it on our own. Heck we both have our own comics, but they haven’t been updated in years.
Simply put, there are other awesome webcomics out there that you can enjoy while waiting for this one. This is the first time I’ve actually read through the comments since like page 12 or something and the first time I’ve ever posted.
My vote, take you time and be happy with what you’re releasing so that we can enjoy it when it’s ready.
In the mean time, I’ll grab a helmet and medic supplies and wait for the next issue on your side of this ‘Battle Field’ Bobby.
I love the work, have a laugh at my expense and continue at your own pace. Please
November 25th, 2007 at 12:32 am
Hey, I’ve been reading this comic for awhile now and I’ve been enjoying it so far. However, I’m a little disturbed by the drama below the pictures.
I think people are forgetting the artist and the author have lives outside of this comic. A job, perhaps, friends, families, etc. Ya know…things away from the keyboard. A true fan should be patient and wait for the pages to be updated. It certainly looks like a comic worth waiting for!
To Eisu and Bobby:
Thanks for putting up with some of the more crazy fans (and I’m trying to be nice here) and continuing to make the comic and post it here for us to view. Please know there’s tons of non-angry fans still alive…I think. If the commenting is getting annoying…why not turn it off?

According to your comments, you only leave the schedule on the page to piss people off.
You then vent publicly at people when they do get pissed off.
That’s like asking someone to throw a punch at you, and complaining when they do it.
At that point you have no right to complain about them any more, because YOU BAITED THEM.
What director/studio is going to want to work with someone with such an unprofessional attitude? Why make it harder to sell such a great work?
Being great at writing and/or art doesn’t give you a license to act like a d*ck.

“According to your comments, you only leave the schedule on the page to piss people off.”
LOL. That’s one of about THIRTY reasons I’ve given for why I leave that up, you lying asshole.
“What director/studio is going to want to work with someone with such an unprofessional attitude? Why make it harder to sell such a great work?”
It definitely doesn’t make it harder. If anything, it helps. And I’ve addressed that a million times, but you clearly can’t read.

Wow.
Such a nice comic written by the world’s biggest asshole, apparantly. Bobby, I am not someone you have kicked off of here, I am not stupid, and I have not bothered to read the ridiculous number of posts on this forum. I had no idea that this was a sore spot for you, and honestly don’t care. I was expressing an opinion to the other readers of the comic.
If the venom and bile I have seen spouted here is an example of your personality, then you will likely never have sucess in any business and Eisu has my sympathy.

Thessik: You just proved with that comment that you’re an incredibly stupid liar. And why would Eisu have your sympathy when he said the same basic stuff I said? I didn’t even say anything in direct response to you, while he wrote two comments directly in response to you and basically called you a complete idiot, without actually using the words “complete idiot.” Main difference between Eisu’s posts and mine is that I use the words “complete idiot” while he merely implies it so strongly that it’s very clear what it means, because he’s a bit nicer than me.

Eisu said:
* “See, if this is the reason you’re doing and/or publishing webcomics or whatever online, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons… I do NOT do webcomics online so that I can get fanbase or positive feedback, hells no, if that’s the case, in the long run I’m gonna be one sad and angry case of an artist…”
But the issue is not so much receiving feedback as it is responding to it properly. You do not have to consider each and every reply and you do not have to hold yourself to do what the comments say.
On the other hand, being a web author requires one to properly respond to comments. The issue, Eisu, is responding to criticism, not the criticism itself.

AtM says: “Wow, what a stupid argument (if that makes me stupid for getting involved, well I can deal with that.)
If you have a problem with the update schedule stop saying you will stop reading, just STOP that way the rest of us don’t have to read your WLB comments!”
The issue is not the update schedule itself but the misrepresentation of the update schedule. If Bobby Crosby revises this image http://www.marrymemovie.com/images/header-marryme-red.gif to remove the “Updated M-W-F” - the issue is SOLVED. Bobby Crosby does not have to change his update schedule. He just has to stop indicating that he updates M-W-F when he does not.

Viwukie: Fuck you, never come back here. You’re either lying on purpose or you chose not to read or comprehend anything I said over and over again on this page and on many others.

Um, is this a bad time to say that Stasia looks really cute in panels 5 & 6? Plus, I totally ***heart*** Parker. ‘Nuff said.
