You hit me with and object, i hit you with a bigger object... you kill me my brother kills you... In a civiliased socitey we put the punishment into the hands of the LAW. END OF STORY! I'm not sure why everyone is getting so hateful and critical. Since when do character's actions have to be morally justified, or be making a statement about the author's/writer's personal feelings? It's not like the things real people do are justified even a fourth of the time and yet we shrug and let it slide all the time. Personally, I love that Guy has such impulsive moments. He'd be BORING as hell if he didn't have human reactions to things. I challenge anyone to think of the person who is most important to them... then imagine them getting punched. Would you fucking care if it was JUSTIFIED? I also seriously doubt Christian's life was in danger. Parker probably weighs... 120 pounds soaking wet. Maybe less. I'm a girl and that sort of weight couldn't pin me. You'll also notice that Christian's hand was wrapped around the shirt keeping it away from his throat. If he's capable of yelling for help, then rolling around and smacking Parker, his life was in no eminent danger.
