  1. Tabs Says:

    Heh, bean bag.

    Cute monkey.

  2. Sign inja Says:

Woo, first post! And yes, monkeys in fact are lazy. We’re proud of that fact!

  3. Saryn Says:

    Heehee monkey.

    <3 Refresh Monkeys.

  4. Bartimaeus Says:

I can relate to the monkeys…

  5. Wikikiwi Says:

    hehe i love monkeys

  6. DaftOne Says:

Monkeys are lazy. That would make a great t-shirt.

  7. serious Says:

    *being a monkey too*

  8. Bish Says:

I agree with DaftOne. My immediate first thought. Amazing as ever guys.

  9. Kara Says:

    MONKEYS!!!!

I like the touch of the driver’s wheel position.

UH OH…womens only? Is there going to be some cross dressing coming up?

  10. Shan Says:

The monkey would not be able to ride a giraffe like that. They would find the possition too uncomfortable and it could do damage to both monkey and giraffe. ;-)

  11. Andrew Says:

I think any page with Parker in it is one of our favorites. :) She’s obviously tour-gazing and fooling around just to get his attention both at the same time. It’s cute for cuteness sake.

  12. Guiltfeeder Says:

    lol, “Monkeys are lazy!”

  13. Jon Pander Says:

Shan, it could probably leave the giraffe to a more comfortable spot….
But monkeys are far too lazy to do that.

    Cute page.
Travelling undercover in a food truck?
    Women’s only village?
What happens with Denny and Guy? Will they dress up as women? Denny in drag? Will Guy change his name to Gal?

    Just kidding.

Seriously, Guy does not look comfortable nor happy, especially when Parker does the pointy thing. I get the feeling he’s used to it though.
And Parker is annoyingly cute. Or maybe cutely annoying.

  14. Erica Says:

@Shan — That is probably why the giraffe looks kinda grumpy :D

  15. LaughingCat Says:

That’s hilarious! I love Parker and her hypocrisy. I also think that the monkey’s hilarious. :D

(PS–Is the “now updating every hour” sign meant to be ironic?)

  16. Gannon Says:

Lets not start whith how something would ne comfortable or not please.

  17. Jenn Says:

Why does someone always have to contradict what happens in the comic?

Are you a monkey OR a giraffe? How do you know it’d be uncomfortable?
A small spider monkey like that weighs all but 15 lbs at the most..

People carry their 30lb children on their shoulders!

    anyway,

I like the comic guys!! Very cute!!

  18. Jenn Says:

    Wait.. one more thing…

How are Guy and Denny gonna get into Umoja if it’s a women’s only town?

    o_0 … 0_o

  19. Jenn Says:

Sorry about being a “w”itch Shan, I’ll be nice?

How do you figure it’ll be bad..?

I just figured since giraffe’s are built to have a sturdy strong neck for reaching trees and supporting heavy branches why it couldn’t hold a tiny monkey?

    :D

No harm meant.. I saw what happened to JT in the last comment section on the last comic.. XD

Idea! Let’s wiki and research it?! lol

  20. Elisa Says:

If they’re going to a women’s only village, is it really wise to bring Denny and Guy with them?

  21. Lizzy Says:

Now updating every hour? That can’t be true. It was a stretch when it said MWF…how could this comic possibly update every hour? If it did…that’d be great, but somehow I don’t see that happening. Can you please make the update schedule at the top denote what the real update schedule is going to be?

  22. Feanor Says:

    yay, an update ^^
as for the comic list, i’m reading like 6 of them already…
    waiting for updates and such.
btw, last blood could use an update ^^
this is just a friendly reminder (like you need one XD), not critisism.

For all who didn’t know Gary Gygax, one of the creators od D&D died a few days ago. He will be missed by gamers everywhere. :(

  23. Katie Says:

Best ever! Monkeys rock my world, and they are sooo lazy!

  24. Pamela Says:

    *ROFLMAO* @ PARKER

Oh, I do so love our crazy, zany Parker ^^

You guys are rockin like always

  25. Pamela Says:

LOL and the ‘Updating Every Hour’ is probably posted with all heavy sarcasm. Am I right? :P

  26. Naoko Says:

Is Umoja a real village? I’ll have to look that up.

Anyway, I love this page too, and I also like the “updating every hour” you added at the top. Hah! good job, guys.

  27. Bobby Crosby Says:

    “Is Umoja a real village?”

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=meEz3qV_RRc

    6:28 to 6:48 features a spoiler.

12:03 to 12:20 shows elepahants, giraffes, and monkeys near Umoja, and it also shows a monkey riding on another animal! But that animal is probably the monkey’s mom or dad.

“If they’re going to a women’s only village, is it really wise to bring Denny and Guy with them?”

It is, yes. Only women and children LIVE there, but male tourists and friends can visit, especially if they’re bringing food or buying things or if they’re friends of Stasia, who is their biggest supporter.

“Can you please make the update schedule at the top denote what the real update schedule is going to be?”

Never, since that’s impossible and entirely pointless. Feel free to Google this topic, which has been discussed a million times.

  28. Gab Says:

Hurray! I love this comic. :) And yay, every hour. That made my day.

  29. Chadling Says:

Gotta love the expressions in panel 2. Denny looks like he’s having the time of his life.

  30. dan Says:

I love this comix as well as Last Blood and +EV, but this page seemed wasted to me.

I do not get the point of the monkey and giraffe(maybe in the future?). I get that they are traveling to a village, but I think you could have gotten more story down in this page if you had the first two panels and then them being in the village.

My opinion anyways. Good to see another update.

    Thank you.

  31. Bobby Crosby Says:

“I do not get the point of the monkey and giraffe(maybe in the future?).”

    LOL.

  32. Matt Says:

I’m pretty sure Shan was kidding. :P

  33. Eisu Says:

“I do not get the point of the monkey and giraffe(maybe in the future?). I get that they are traveling to a village, but I think you could have gotten more story down in this page if you had the first two panels and then them being in the village.”

Sometimes, a story needs to wind down and settle before we get back to the core of the story… yeah, we could stay on the core of the story the whole time, seeing how often this comic updates, but then, as a whole, reading “core stories” only would be kinda boring… this comic is thought up as a Graphic Novel first and not an Online comic. So we need winding down pages or times before getting to the core again and thus… MONKEYS!

  34. Debbie Says:

That has to be the sweetest little monkey I’ve ever seen drawn. Very cute :) Well done and thanks so much!

  35. JessieM Says:

LOL… I LOVE Parker’s personality… its too funny… are they (Guy and her) not lazy too? LMAO

  36. dan Says:

“Sometimes, a story needs to wind down and settle before we get back to the core of the story… yeah, we could stay on the core of the story the whole time, seeing how often this comic updates, but then, as a whole, reading “core stories” only would be kinda boring… this comic is thought up as a Graphic Novel first and not an Online comic. So we need winding down pages or times before getting to the core again and thus… MONKEYS!”

Personally I can not wait to see what will happen, but that might just be me.

Anyways thank you for the update Bobby.

  37. william Says:

So the spoiler is that they drink blood????? So are they going to have to drink blood???? eewwwww. :-P

  38. Ryan Says:

I absolutely love your comics! keep up the good work :)

  39. Sierra Monroe Says:

Heh’, this seems like a filler of some sort, but also seems like it leans towards entertainment purpose’s.
    :”3
    Wait…
    women’s only?
….Is denny and Guy gonna’ have to cross-dress? O_o

  40. StevenW Says:

Is it me, or should Janny be saying ‘tell me why Christian is missing a tooth already!’ or something similar?

I got the impression that Stasia has been teasing Janny, deliberately refusing to tell her what happened to Christian.

  41. Igor Persivo Says:

    # Chadling Says:
    March 8th, 2008 at 7:28 pm

Gotta love the expressions in panel 2. Denny looks like he’s having the time of his life.

I think he is smiling like that because of janny curiosity about christian’s missing tooth ( i would smile i little bit more devilish but in denny’s case that fit like a glove, i might be wrong but only bobby crosby might tell)

  42. Richard Says:

    silly monkey hahahaha

  43. Shan Says:

Jenn- I was joking. See the wink?

I saw how bizzare the whole comments section got last time with the “Janny can’t lay down like that” thing, so I tried to make an in-joke about the “dangers of the monkey position.” Not to be taken seriously in the slightest.

  44. Teal Says:

This is my first time posting a comment! Any way I love the look on Guys facial expression…its a “get me the hell out of here look” LOVE IT! :-)

  45. Bill M. Says:

Love this comic… and the updating is true… our comments are checked and updated hourly, aren’t they? ;)

Seriously, Parker and Guy are giving the animals a taste of what the zoos are like in the U.S., with Guy being the dominant male sitting around, and Parker being the hyper, young female that bounces around and tries to get attention from the onlookers…

And now, I must paraphrase a “Weird Al” Yankovic lyric…

Stasia’s drivin’ a truck, drivin’ a big ol’ truck. Pedal to the metal, hope she don’t run out of luck. Rollin’ towards Omaja, until the break of dawn, drivin’ a truck with her high-heels on… :)

  46. Lydia Says:

    I hate monkeys.

I do, however, like giraffes and elephants.

  47. Shan Says:

Lydia- How is it physically possible to hate mokneys?

  48. John M. Says:

Pshht. This comic is so unrealistic. Pregnant women can’t go six panels without stopping to use the bathroom.

  49. invaderhog Says:

I am such a nerd, but I was laughing my arse off when she said “bean bag”. My roommate thought I was nuts. The monkey is soooo cute!

  50. Cleo Says:

Haha could not stop laughing at this one. I love Parker. So random. BEAN BAG!

  51. Alex Says:

And now Parkers acting like me, all jumping topics and such.

I find this amusing to no end.

  52. Jon Pander Says:

    Jenn:
I happen to know for a fact that Shan -is- a giraffe, who had a rather harrowing ordeal with a monkey who wouldn’t get off his neck, despite the pain it caused both of them. I feel for Shan’s plight deeply, as should we all.

    Naoko:
I thought the same thing, wasn’t sure if it was a real village or something Bobby made up so I looked it up on wikipedia - there are two Umojas in Kenya, a village 380 km from Nairobi founded in the 90s based on the principles of women’s rights (and it is indeed an all-women village) and there’s also a suburb of Nairobi also called Umoja

I would have never bothered to find out stuff like that if not for the comic. :)

  53. Kara Says:

    John M’s comment is funny.

But maybe she is peeing every six panels…we just don’t get to see it.

  54. Zelina Says:

Awesome page as always….its always great to see an update.

Hmmm…wonder why Guy looks so upset in the last panel…unless hes jst angry from the previous fight.

  55. Cassandra Says:

Can’t wait for the next one! Monkeys are lazy.

  56. Shan the Giraffe Says:

Jon Pander- No! My secret has been exposed!

Thankyou for your sympathy. It’s been hard but I know that with the support of my family and friends I’ll be able to make it through.

  57. Micah Says:

Eisu: Really good job on the animals. Do you draw animals in any of your other work, or did you have any difficulty drawing them to fit your particular art style for this comic?
“Monkeys are lazy!” would be an awesome T-shirt. I might just make one.

    “Nastee Says:
March 6th, 2008 at 9:01 am Hey guys. The comic still rules, but the “new page every m-w-f” tag should be removed if we see only one update every 3 weeks. Too slow for me. Sorry, I’m just that impatient.
    Oblivian Says:
March 6th, 2008 at 10:39 am When will this comic actually give updates on the said m-w-f? I like it!
    Lizzy Says:
March 8th, 2008 at 1:28 pm Now updating every hour? That can’t be true. It was a stretch when it said MWF…how could this comic possibly update every hour? You are all idiots…

  58. Richard Says:

whenever i see a monkey be it on tv or in a comic, i keep thinking of that thing at the end of robot chicken. great work as always keep it up, cant wait to see where this is going.

  59. Wolfgang Blaine Says:

My love for Parker grows and grows :3

  60. Jillster Says:

Reminds me of the Barenaked Ladies song “If I Had a Million Dollars” — Haven’t you always wanted a monkey? Heh!!!

  61. Sierra Monroe Says:

I certainly hope that comment was sarcasm.

  62. Jillster Says:

My comment? No…it wasn’t sarcasm. There is a line in the song “If I had $1,000,000″ by the group Barenaked Ladies that goes “Haven’t you always wanted a monkey?” (As in if the singer had a millon dollars, he’d buy his girlfriend a monkey.)

  63. Micah Says:

I wanted a monkey when I was a kid, but they are actually kinda dirty animals, and most of them smell pretty bad.

  64. Emily Says:

OMG! This has got to be one of my favorite additions. Keep them coming!

  65. Jenn Says:

    LOL! ((Jon Pander & Shan))

SHAN! How come you never told us.. you giraffe, you… ((I figured you were kidding, just wasn’t too sure))

    —–

Wow, you guys who said it are right though… Guy does look uncomfortable and kinda unhappy about shtuff… Is he still pissed about the Christian thing or just sick of travel? 0_o

  66. Amy Says:

Um, wowio sent me an e-mail saying that it is all in the publisher’s hands.

By the way, Bobby Crosby and Eisu, I love your comic.

  67. Bobby Crosby Says:

“Um, wowio sent me an e-mail saying that it is all in the publisher’s hands.”

Very annoying. WOWIO is incorrect about that.

  68. Eisu Says:

“”Do you draw animals in any of your other work, or did you have any difficulty drawing them to fit your particular art style for this comic?

Funny enough, I’m bad at drawing animals. Most of the time, even with reference, they come out really bad, but these days, with my day job as Storyboarders, I’m forced to learn how to draw animals because of the show I’m working on that might have need of animals in the show like horses and stuff, so I’m still learning.

  69. MobiusZero Says:

    monkey…

  70. Shan the Giraffe Says:

Jenn- That’s weird. I thought that you didn’t get my joke when in fact I didn’t get yours. And I don’t feel I should have to openly express my species on every forum I’m on. Do you?

  71. Amun-Ra Says:

Hah, I just love that “Get the fuck off of me” look that giraffe has.

  72. Jenn Says:

Shan (Now Shan the Giraffe). — It’s so hard to read jokes in the tones people write them in.. too bad there’s no sound file comment application.

    :P

why can’t reading sarcasm and jokes be as easy as detecting them speechwise?

    lol

NO! You aren’t required to openly express your species!! Thats what privacy acts are for! XD

I think I’m beginning to like the comment sections on here as much as the comic itself…

Gosh, I have to get my own up and running… I need a scanner, fer shizzle.

  73. JessieM Says:

John M. Says: “Pshht. This comic is so unrealistic. Pregnant women can’t go six panels without stopping to use the bathroom.”

    ROFLMAO!!!!
It seems you have experience in being pregnant? Amazing how far technology has come!!! LOL Did you have to pee between panels John M.? LOL

  74. Micah Says:

    Jenn Says:

Shan (Now Shan the Giraffe). — It’s so hard to read jokes in the tones people write them in.. too bad there’s no sound file comment application.
why can’t reading sarcasm and jokes be as easy as detecting them speechwise?

In the internet no one can hear you sarcasm…

  75. Shan Says:

    Micah- Oh the hilarity!

  76. Jon Pander Says:

    sigh, here I go again.

JessieM: I happen to know for a fact that John M. -is- pregnant. We went on a trip to Vermont and the guy couldn’t go more than a mile without wanting me to pull over at a f#%king gas station to pee.

And he kept wanting me to feel his stomach to feel the baby kick, and that was just awkward.

Especially with him wearing that wig and belly shirt…..

  77. Jenn Says:

LMAO Micha…That did sound sarcastic when read.. holy crap.

    XD

I didn’t mean for it to be.

  78. Nastee Says:

Well, Micah, sorry for giving some constructive criticism. If that makes me an idiot, then I don’t know what you must be for calling other people names for no reason. All I said was that if the m-w-f schedule cannot be followed, then remove the sign on top. Is that so bad? ;) And btw, I said “comic rules”. I also love the “updating every hour” sarcasm. Micah, thank you for your incredibly “smart” post. It got a few laughs from me.

  79. Bobby Crosby Says:

“All I said was that if the m-w-f schedule cannot be followed, then remove the sign on top. Is that so bad?”

    It’s disgusting, yes.

  80. Jenn Says:

    har har har… XD

  81. Jenn Says:

    hrff hrff hrff
    ((Tortimer from Animal Crossing’s laugh))

    XD

  82. Amanda Says:

I realize this is highly unlikely, but when I was half-asleep and reading this, I remembered “The San Diego Zoo incident” from at the beginning before Stasia’s show - found myself thinking, “Of COURSE the monkeys are lazy! Stasia pays for them now!”

  83. Sara Says:

I… I’m in love with the last two panels.
I can’t even find the words to express how hard I laughed. I maybe even larfed. Who knows?

  84. chumash99 Says:

“Repulse the Monkey!” That’s my favorite move from “Xiaolin Showdown”. Also, ROTFL!

  85. Vueiy_Visarelli Says:

I love this page, too! Smart Parker and lazy monkeys!

  86. Katey Says:

This is amazing. I love the whole comic, but this one is my favorite so far. Sorry for the late comment, but I had to tell you how much this made me laugh.
