Raz BerryL, guys like “guy” and “me” stay single because they try real hard to not get taken advantage of by the wrong type of girl. Especially if it has happened once already. Just my 2 Cents.

I agree with whoever said this I think someone is giving child birth. Then again it is an all woman village as well…..maybe they were scared by the site of a guy….*shrugs*

Geez…it’s not that we pay so little atention, but that when you’re having fun a big chunk of our atention is taken away by…well…the fun. However, I find that often the man has a little more awareness of the surroundings than the woman in such situations.

I agree with Zig. Yeah, there are some asshat guys, but there are just as many girls to match. I know, I’ve dated a few.
Has parker possibly set a new land speed record for Africa? Denny and Jan seem remarkably calm considering who was at the wheel.
Great stuff Bobby and Eisu. Sounds like Guy’s about to recieve the “supporting a new mother during birth” test! (At least I hope that’s what the scream is about. Otherwise, “there about to be some vaaailence”.

I started reading this comic in Nov. and i have to say I’m more stoked about this comic than anyting else it is the first site i check each morning. I’m am so glad it looks to be working for Ana’s happiness. I really hope that they stay together. I can so see Guy standing up to the Father! Ten minutes and not even copping a fill that is control. I respect Guy for that. I also like the art work of the illustator. This is AWSOME!!!!!!!

Zig, I hear ya, I know how it can be.
Blackbird, I wasn’t referring to men not paying attention to their surrounds when they’re making out. What I was impressed with about Guy was that he took the time to find out and remember everything he could about Stasia, which is a really sweet but time-consuming thing to do, and most guys don’t tend to have the time or effort. Still, it says very nice things about both the person who does it and the person who gets to have it done to them.
Wrath, I did not mean to imply that men who don’t do it are asshats, simply that Guy is an exceptionally sweet man for having done so.

Yay on yet another update!
Aww… Guy MUST be a great kisser, 10 minutes flew by like nothing for both of ‘em.
Okay… No damage on the huts shown (but there will probably be more in the village than we’ve seen so far), so a birthing is a possible reason for the empty village (especially if one of the women fled there because a doctor told her and her husband that she was pregnant with a girl and the pregnant woman didn’t want an abortion, but the husband did), but this also presents a crisis test for Guy, if they got there after one of the raids happened (covered in that YouTube vid that Bobby posted a link to, just after Rebecca et. al. drank the blood), of course if that’s the case, his job as a school counselor has prepared him…
Finally, looking at this comic and the previous one, Stasia just went up on my hotness meter due to her lack of socks & panties. If she’s also braless, she’s even higher on it. Only reason my hotness meter hasn’t busted due to Stasia’s proximity to Guy is one simple fact. Janny’s nearby, and she registers just as high, if not higher… after all, go cruise the maternity ward, those chicks are known to put out…

I’ve been reading this comic since I found the last blood and I like both greatly. Though I like last blood, it’s great you guys are updating. It seemed that when last blood was updating this comic suffered for it. And right now I hope this gets more attention than last blood cause this is also a great webcomic.

well, if Parker knew they were kissing for more than ten minutes and didn’t stop the truck early to interrupt, she must be VERY okay with Guy and Stasia… ‘getting to know each other better’… so she’s probably going to try and prove that their marriage is legit.

Bobby, I also like the fact that you’re building this story with realism and not the typical Hollywood-ish romantic comedy where the male lead is an emasculated wussy-boy and everybody around him keeps trying to break him out of his shell while the rest of the world conspires to throw him back into it.

Hmm, I’ve been going back through the pages and although it’s not really clear, it seems to me that you can’t see the back of the truck when you’re sitting in the front… So how did Parker know that they were kissing? (This is probably something really simple but I thought I’d ask ^.^) And yes, I thought about rearview mirrors but if they’re aimed for the back of your truck, they’re not doing their job

Stasia’s insecurity is either very endearing, or horribly annoying. For now I’ll go with endearing, because it’s a graphic novel. It is sort of cute, her expression in panel 5. Sort of an, “Oh god, he wasn’t having fun! I blew it! Curse you lips!”

It was fun drawing Parker in ST although I’m feeling under the weather and couldn’t really do proper justice to Eisu’s awesome character design. Hopefully I’ll be healed by Sunday when I draw the next strip and do it up right. I think all you MMmaniacs and Parkerfiends will like that storyline.

Kissing in the back of a truck is the best. And strangely romantic. I think my most romantic/memorable kiss was when I was about 15 on the way to a fishing spot and kissed a girl in the back of a truck.

2) To all those who like the giraffe bit, she was probably trying to take out that monkey that was lying on its neck. Yes I know you’re going to say ‘but that was a different giraffe’ True. But there was a monkey on every giraffe’s back. it’s a neck monkey. Parker was merely trying to protect the giraffe from the monkey. I’m sure of it.
3) To those who don’t realize I’m being ridiculous in #2, please stop reading after #1.
4) If you read #4, you probably have already read #2 so I probably shouldnt have written #3, or #4 for that matter.

Something just hit me:
I re-read all of this comic and I’ve just noticed that the way the comics are laid out really conceals Janny’s left hand very well, and more specifically, her ring finger on her left hand. Is she married or not?
Also, you still haven’t mentioned any the comic seems too fluid for a time gap between Christian being walloped and them going on this charity tour.

I’m not sure I would like making out with a guy who’s paying attention to everything but me. Maybe it’s just me, but the fact that he listed everything that happened outside during there time together, he wasn’t that into what they were doing. I don’t think multi-tasking during kissing is cute at all.
Just recently started reading the comic. And I’m loving it. I like Stasia, not sure about Guy yet though.

Excellent work. I’ve just downloaded first three issues and then I’ve found this webpage. I like it. I like art, I like plot, I like characters. If it was science-fiction or fantasy it would hit the jackpot

There is one minor setback but it’s noones fault and it’s only in my head anyway… there’s to little to read… I’m a comic vampire. I went through 33 available “3×3 Eyes” tomes in two nights (I have a day job). I’m really happy when I come across five or seven years worth of daily comic
Well… in this case I have to be patient. Actually, anticipation might make it even better

OK. I just Checked out No Pink Ponies…. and it actually made me laugh out loud. Is it me or do Parker and Maureen have a little too much in common. (though Parker is a little more rabid) Hey Eisu any chance of someone reading a Flying Mouse man or Spider-bee comic? J/K. Great Suff. Keep UP the good work on both……. Ok first time i’ve posted… I love the comic. And Ana really should stick with Guy. Come on girls, ya Know finding a sweetie as cute and as honorable as he is, is as rare as finding a 20 karat diamond ring on the sidewalk.
Parker… Hoo, well I’m back and forth about her.
Denny… *grinz* I think he or Janny should replace the control-freak of a father (and possible crook) as Ana’s manager. I mean can you imagine the fights with the media? Denny would flatten’em and that would be that. ^_^
And I don’t know if this has been mentioned before (too many comments to follow. >>;; ) but who’s Janny’s baby’s daddy? I’d like to know more about her too. ^_^

As far as being married here are some laws from Oklahoma (I live here)

Yeah, but that’s common Law Marriage, they’re somewhat different from Marriage Marriage, as the common law sort are people who don’t literally get married. Texas has a similar common law thing, only I think you’re required to have lived together x amount of years as well.
I think right now they’re just trying to figure out if they’re legally married or not, which is a little different from common law marriage.

This may have been answered before but when this gets made into a movie is it going to be Anime or Live action. I think I would prefer Anime with this one because I love the drawing style but if it is Live Action then I am sure it will rock as well. Can you just picture an actress having to stand up and pee on her self? HAHAHA yes I know they would use water or something but it would be freaking hilarious. Let the good times role and keep them coming. Great art Great story.

Seeing that scream at the end of the page first made me want another page to end the cliffhanger, then it made me think that webcomics are so adjusted to using pages. The punchline always comes at the end of the page. I wonder what would happen if there was an unlimited canvas, with no end of the page to say “Here’s where you laugh.”

Well guy got the lucky deal here. I would personally lump myself in the same catagory of “nice guy” as him. I’m 19 and have dated 3 girls. farthest I ever got with any of them is a kiss, simply because i didn’t want to initiate anything myself. Also it is my personal belief that they arnt married but rather due to some turn of events (such as the back of the truck) they will end up falling in love and get married in the end anyway.

I love this comic, gives me something to do when times are slow here at work, Last Blood is up there too. I’m one of the guys who are like Guy though, the reason we’re so rare is because women tend to abuse us (in my experience 2 ex-fiances, and 5 complete failures to launch within a 3 year span), and some of us have personality quirks. Mine happens to be an interest in weaponry, though all that really means is that I know things most people don’t about weapons.
I highly expect that it’s Daddy Dearest who causes the screaming in the last panel, possibly accompanied by Christian, who may have screamed at the sight of Guy. Keep up with the updates Bobby, if this and Last Blood aren’t done by the time San Diego Comic Con, I’ll have some choice words for you Bobby.

Does anyone else find it funny how so many guys are all like “Oh yeah, I’m just like Guy. We always get abused by women because we’re so sweet and sensitive, just like guy.”? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like the character, I empathize with him to a large extent, but seeing other people claim to be “just like” some fictional character, that in a lot of ways we don’t even know that much about, just because a couple of fan girls go *SQUEE* over him kinda seems pathetic. Gag. The emasculated male, the worst of bad romantic wannabe comedies. The Wedding Planner ranks down deep down as one most grievous wastes of time. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actually could have been a good film if they realized that the romantic part of romantic comedy was important — they should have teamed up and turned the tables. Failure to communicate is a bad thing.
I liked Contact, but his character was slightly over the top. He doesn’t have the same likability that Guy has. You need someone a bit more masculine while still be very likable.

You are so cruel. How many times do you want people to empty their stomachs? =) Stasia went to college. Did not have repeated mental breakdowns and lapses. You want nice, likable, not trashy. More Hilary Duff but a bit sexier.

I have no understanding of where Danny De Vito (need more of a hunk) or Joe Pesci. It’s not a mob film. More like a Patrick Stewart type — a leading man who is just really likable. Oh, who did While You Were Sleeping? Clickity … Bill Pullman. That seems more the type of character — a gentleman, attractive, but not an idiot. (Kevin Kline in Dave was nice but I mention that film mostly because of Ving Rhames as the secret service agent Duane. Perfect body guard — big and likable. =)

I know having a big name in the role of Stasia would probably be necessary for making this into a movie, but I almost think I’d prefer a no-name actress. You know, get someone the right age, who really looks the part, and can really sing, rather than sticking some already established pop princess in just to get the preteen girl crowd. I know if/when MM gets picked up the studio will almost certainly want a big name to help ensure success, but that’s my take on it anyway.

First of all: This is completely amazing. And I am awaiting the next update…like, now.
But as for the conversations on here about who should play which character in a movie version:
I really think that the actress that plays Stacia should be older. As in, not Ashley Tisdale. She’s too….campy.
I like Rosebud’s Witherspoon suggestion, and I really agree with Micah on a no name as the part. That would be cool.
But mostly I just love the comic right now, and want more. XD

Stasia and Janny were made for Hilary and Haylie Duff, IMO. It is a natural fit- they’re sisters (so they look related), blonde and brunette, one is a singing pop star.
In some of the pages before, even the angles of the faces reminded me of Hilary and Haylie (Haylie has got a rather prominent chin).
Dunno about Guy, Parker, or the rest of the gang. But those two seem the natural fit for the star and her sister.

Bleh, the idea of a Disney-Created little girl palying Stasia seems… very much a turn off. I just feel like Stasia has so much more personality and I’m not sure any of those Disney pop stars could come off as anyone but themselves, which would ruin everything…. :/
I actually could almost see Resse Witherspoon in the role if she were a bit younger. She has the right kind of sincerity/genuine-ness and charm.
I think it would almost make sense for Guy to be played by a complete unknown. I mean, that’s kind of the point of his character.
As far as speculating on the actual comic goes- my first guess was that Daddy a/o Christian had caught up with them. Now that I’ve had ages to speculate further (the rapid updates spoiled me- now anything more than a week is AGES), I don’t even know.

I don’t know that many celebs, but personally, for parker, I was going to say ‘Dress Bam Margera up as parker, shave his beard and let him loose, without a skateboard.’ But then I decided not to as I might get killed.
I am LURRVINGAH the comic, its one of the best I have seen so far. And yeah, I would say a nameless actress for Stasia (Forgot who posted it…) And I don’t know who for the rest.

Patrick Dempsey is about 20 years too old and Reese Witherspoon is at least five years too old. They could possibly work well as Matheson and April in “Last Blood,” though.
There’s nothing wrong with a “Disney-created girl.” I never said I was high on Ashley Tisdale — never even seen either “High School Musical” movie or anything she’s ever been in basically. I think having an unknown play Stasia would probably be horrible for business, since there’s quite a few young actresses with a built-in audience. Probably hard to get a movie green lit without a star in that role anyway. Guy could possibly be an unknown, but I’d be against that in general too. (I’d probably have very little say in all this, though, of course.)

On the note of Sean Connery, the greatest Scottish actor to ever live. He did retire back in November of 2006. And in his most recent interview, that I know of, in 7/2007 he stated, “retirement is just too damned much fun” don’t think he be available anyway. but yeah Stallone would be a great choice for stasia’s dad

I know this may have been mentioned before….. But what exactly does Stasia’s music sound Like. I know she is a POP STAR But what kinda of POP is she? who what she be similar too? and not just the Physical resemblance she has to todays Stars. but what is her sound. That also could tell you who could play her in the Movie.
PS. Parker WAS AWESOME in Sore Thumbs. Love to see more cameos.

I have to support Ashley Tilsdale over Hillary Duff any day. My problem with Duff is that she is a one dimensional actress that only plays the self centered “normal” girl with the heart of gold…. that is it. Tilsdale on the other hand, unlike the other Disney actresses, can actually act. I would trust her to pull off any part no matter what it was and make it unique.
It is the difference between watching an actor/ess playing X part (where you never forget who you are looking at) and watching X part that just happens to be that actor/ess (but it doesn’t occur to you during the movie).
As for fans right now I would say Tilsdale may have just as many if not more. High School Musical is BIG. I even know adults who discuss watching it and how much they liked it as well as what they liked in it.

I stand by my Hilary Duff = Stasia and Haylie Duff = Janny. They’ve had a few years experience under their belt, and you can’t go wrong with real-life sisters playing sisters.
I have yet to see Ashley Tisdale shine in any sort of manner, having watched both HSM movies and been forced to watch the poorly-written, poorly directed ‘Secret Life of Zach and Cody’. Just my opinion.
Looking back on ‘Lizzie McGuire’ (which had it’s golden moments, but for the most part was also poorly-written), I kept being drawn to the wild-haired, wide-eyed, and hyper Lalaine Vergara-Paras (commonly known as just Lalaine) who played Miranda. I said, “Whoa, there’s Parker!”
I wanted to take this one step further and picture Gordo in a role… but Guy just doesn’t look like him.
To assist me, I went to IMDB and looked up some more modern pics and ages of the actresses.
Hilary Duff (Stasia) = turns 21 on Sept 28, 2008.
Haylie Duff (Janny) = turned 23 on Feb 19, 2008.
Lalaine (Parker) = turns 21 on June 3, 2008.
What do these numbers mean, from the standpoint of a movie? Well, chances are, we won’t see a ‘Marry Me’ movie within the next 4 years, unless our fearless (and brilliant!) authors work their tails off and go with an independant producer. In other words, when ‘Marry Me’ the movie is in the actual shooting phase, Hilary and co. would be about 25, just about right for the characters.
Again, just my opinion.

To be clear, I’ve never had any intentions of making a “Marry Me” film myself, since the budget would be way too big. Also, it’s my guess that a “Marry Me” movie will go into production before “Last Blood” does (hopefully within a year, but who knows).

I would pull for Kristen Bell as Stasia. She’s smart, cute, funny, and can actually act– and it wouldn’t seem that much of a stretch to go from the stage to villages in Africa with her. Since Stasia seems to be at home in both places.

Question for norman728, why in the heck would Christian scream from seeing Parker? He slapped her in the face, sure she tackled him, but she didn’t really do anything other than tackle him and get hit in the face. Guy’s the one who hit him in the jaw (looked hard enough to dislocate it too), broke one of his teeth, and just shrugged it off. I’m still calling it as Daddy is in the hut waiting in ambush, he’s probably even more irate about the bus driver telling him they flew to Antarctica, so it couldn’t possibly be good.

I agree: NOT Duff. I haven’t liked much of what hse’s been in, and it tends to be the “average/dorky girl gets discovered and becomes popular/famous/gets the hottest guy in school”. Maybe she can do more…. but I haven’t seen it and she doesn’t seem like Stasia to me.

Kristen Bell was my first thought for Stasia too, they have the same sort of features. She’s a bit older but she doesn’t look it, so I think it’d be fab.
