  1. Anko Says:

What a crazy talk show, takes place in a gym.

  2. Starjian Says:

Really am loving this novel, and I am glad to hear you will be continuing afterwards.

  3. Proxess Says:

really weird talk show! nice to see things turned out all well. I followed marryme from practically the very beggining! great comic! can’t wait for the ending! I hope to see some more coming!

  4. Drake Says:

lol so great, i knew it. So hey i dont know if i posted it before or not. But if not, so should be a TV story not a film. There is so much you can do, and you could stretch the novel into the first season with all the antics Stasia would put him through before it ended like this.

Either way, cant wait for more!

  5. Mithras Says:

Guy endorses Kill Factory because it will give people the problems that he fixes on his talk show.

  6. Mithras Says:

Oh.. and it seems that with all the money Guy now has, he has learned how to actually chisel his chin, whilst still keeping the permastubble he’s got going.

…It’s always the same length, how does he DO that?

  7. LazerWulf Says:

well, while I’m a bit disappointed that we don’t get to see Guy without his beard, I must admit that it looks cleaner and well-kept, more like an actual beard than the scruff he had in the past.

  8. LazerWulf Says:

P.S. Christian looks weird with the new ‘do.

‘Course, now he really is a “Brand New Christian”

  9. OvermindDL1 Says:

I will be interested in buying the book, so here is a note.
Definitely going well, keep up the story.

  10. ivan Says:

    @ Anko, a.k.a. Bobby’s #1 fan-girl:
I don’t think it’s that crazy; Guy does thank the students of the school where he is a counselor at. And Guy likes to help people, I doubt that he’d just give that up for a TV show. Plus it’s cool that he still acknowledges the important people in his show/life.

    to Bobby:

How much time has passed between the last 2 pages? Also great piece of entertainment as always.

    to Eisu:

As always I enjoy your artistic style. It seems to have some manga-eque inspirations, but with a lot of realism to it as well. Simple, yet complex. It seems to have evolved in both no pink ponies and in marry me, and I look forward to seeing you develop your talents with future projects. best of luck.

  11. Dan S. Says:

Its in the school gym because Guy wouldn’t give up his job as a school Guidance Counselor. I still like my idea of a talk show name better. “Everybody Loves That Guy”
Guy Talk gives me man show flashbacks.

I am a bit sad though. I leave on vacation later today so I won’t see the end of the comic until sunday.

P.S: HA!, how many of you actually thought we’d skip to some wedding scene?

  12. Mary Says:

XD I laughed SO hard at the “And thanks again for punching me in the face! 8D” bit.

XD That just about killed me. <3 Good show, good show.

  13. Skell Says:

Aww… I just can’t accept it is almost finished, and it will be no more… :(
Though, it was great ride )

  14. Guylover Says:

awww this is an awesome almost-ending but i cant believe its almost over!! i love that you actually got the talk show and LOL its in a gym. God, wish i could be one of his guests hehe great job guyss

  15. Bobo the Murder Duck Says:

    wtf just happened?

  16. Bobby Crosby Says:

    “wtf just happened?”

You’re too stupid to read the comic, even though it’s very simple and easy to understand. Stop reading it now to avoid further confusion.

  17. Bobo the Murder Duck Says:

I read the comic, he proposed and suddenly he’s oprah?
If you’re gonna call somebody stupid at least make sure it wont backfire

  18. Bobby Crosby Says:

Jesus. So in your world, every on screen proposal absolutely requires the words “yes” or “no” to be said, even if it’s one million percent obvious the answer is yes? Read the comments for Page 88 — tons of people said they thought that would be a good ending right there, since they obviously know Stasia says yes and they “live happily ever after.” And if you’re confused about the Oprah thing, how about re-reading Page 86??? Again, you’re too stupid to read the very simple comic, and you’re now banned, of course.

  19. Moose Says:

Yeah, I’m pretty positive I need this novel.
And to see the movie. Or be in it.
I would totally get knocked up just to play Janny (j/k… I think.)

  20. Anko Says:

“I don’t think it’s that crazy; Guy does thank the students of the school where he is a counselor at. And Guy likes to help people, I doubt that he’d just give that up for a TV show. Plus it’s cool that he still acknowledges the important people in his show/life.”

Ha, I tend to use the word “crazy” quite loosely, and didn’t mean to imply anything negative when I said that. Just meant to imply that the setting seems pretty eccentric compared to that of other talk shows.

  21. Ranju Says:

I see parts of the movie now. Just as Guy thanks his driver and best friend, we see Parker driving a limo in a crazy way. and a lot of angry shouting from people she almost ran over or crashed into.

I don’t know if that’s the intention, but it is how I imagine hollywood would do it.

Also, a great setting for a talkshow! Would it be wrong of me to assume the show will have a cheerleading team show up to entertain audience during commercial breaks?

  22. komacki Says:

The first thing that popped into my head while reading this was “Is this a dream sequence from Ana’a dad?” That really doesn’t make sense, though. It’s probably the black-and-whiteness of the comic that gave the idea legs.

    @Bobby
Nice setting change. After your minor spoiler of everyone being in different clothes after the previous comic I assumed that you were going to jump them straight to the wedding - a traditional one, I mean. Way to keep us on our toes.
ps. I’d like to see Last Blood and Marry Me update at equal rates so the idiocy of the posters on each could be compared. I imagine one or more people from both will eventually be nominated for a Darwin Award.

  23. Dark Chili Says:

    @Ranju,
    that sounds hot

  24. Mifmemo Says:

<3 That was great! D’: too short though! Send me a DA message if more is added ^_____^

  25. Bobby Crosby Says:

Uh, there’s two more pages in the next couple days, as the blog post says.

  26. Graymalkin Says:

Heh. Clothing change. Not what I expected. But you’ve done a nice job of confounding expectations throughout the book.

Which, by the way, I will be preordering.

Because there aren’t enough romantic comedy graphic novels out there, and there should be more.

  27. Cin Says:

I would totally be interested in the book. I really love this a lot. Its funny but there are some really cool themes too. Awesome work. :) <3

  28. Seriniyity Says:

Rofl I’d been wondering what on earth Christian could possibly contribute to the end of the story that would be worth putting him in one of the precious few panels left…. “I’d like to thank you again for punching me in the face” was totally worth it! XD

P.S. Just out of curiosity, about the people you ban… are they just not allowed to comment anymore? Or can they actually not see the rest of the comic? It doesn’t really matter, but the question was in my head. :P

  29. Namsab Says:

Ok, I haven’t read through all the comments, so I don’t know, but.. am I the only one who doesn’t like the idea of Parker being his driver?
Not because of the way she drives (well, that too), but more because of the fact it’s.. dunno… unfriendly to make your best friend a kind of ’servant’? (I know that’s not the proper word for what I mean but I can’t find it in English xP)

Other than that… Guy in panel 3? HOT AS HELL.
(He kind of resembles the first sketch-version of Guy..)

  30. Norman728 Says:

Wow, GUY TALK did happen. No nefarious agenda from Joey Tyler? Is Guy just that perfect? am curious as to how far a jump in time it’s been. will we see a wedding? or will we see an Uncle Parker and an Aunt Parker with a shot of Lil’ Guy or Stasia? or Maybe a rush from the Gym to the chapel with a dramatic pointing… “To the Church!!!”

  31. Pixie Says:

I like that you didn’t just to the ‘obvious’ scene of a wedding. With it still black and white, it took me a bit to realize what was going on. It makes me wonder, after reading the comments, how long it’s been since the last page and what exactly is going on beyond the obvious… If it’s actually at the school or if that’s what the set for his show looks like (I’m banking on it being the school, but I could see it the other way too) and if he’s still a counselor as aforementioned school. Also, how things went with Stasia (as you said, obviously she said yes, but I like affirmation, not trusting some authors after books I’ve read…) and what all that entailed. Obviously, I’m just nosey to know more, which will happen in due time, I’m sure. ^_^ You’ve still got more pages and then there’s the stuff you’re talking about afterwards. And though I’m sorry to see all of this ending, it makes me happy that hopefully No Pink Ponies will resume. ^__^

  32. Vizzy Says:

    Omg is that Cristian-NO WAY.
What did Guy do to him??

  33. JKPS613 Says:

Bobby…you’re an ass. Seriously. You AND Micah. Both of you - total, colossal asses.

  34. Flynn Says:

I like it, but I gotta say I feel like the leap between the last comic and this one could have used some smoothing out. I read this page, and click previous to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Feels like it should be a chapter break or something.

Just a thought, not a major complaint or anything. Really like your work!

    Good show!

  35. Em Says:

I was half expecting this, but my sister and I were pretty CERTAIN that “new clothes” included a wedding dress. ;D

but this is just as good XD

  36. irRational Says:

Vizzy: Whatever he did - it worked perfectly.

@ Bobby: I would like to buy the book, but I’m living in Europe, taxes and shipping would kill me :/.

  37. Allison Says:

Sounds like someone’s worn out and cranky from working so hard and fast.

    *coughbobbycough*

Hang in there, buddy! You’re almost done!

  38. psychop Says:

    Rofl :-D

  39. chumash99 Says:

“Guy, I want to thank you again for punching me in the face.”
    “Any time, buddy; any time.”

    ROTFL…

  40. Jen Says:

@ JKPS613: WTF? Seriously? You are dumb. I hope Bobby rips you a new one.

@ the Creators: Love the story and the art work! I especially like that Guy Talk takes place in a gym! Though, how do they handle the acoustics? Gyms are annoyingly loud @___@

  41. Jon Pander Says:

Okay wait! I found a flaw in Guy! He made Parker his personal driver. So he’s obviously in some way suicidal. Suicidal is a flaw, right?

Alicia: “LOL *giggles, smiling* You can check out my myspace if you want, I changed the link on my name…”
Gah! Your myspace pictures are set private. I need to see pictures! PICTURES!!!!!

Bobby Crosby: “Leo’s also at least 10 years too old. That whole list was just insanity, some people were like 40 years too old.”
You still have my cast ideas :)

Jenn: “we should double date…. Alicia and Pander.. n me and my fiance.. fer sure. we’ll meet in… ohio or something… somewhere in the middle..
im in ny, bf is in ill…. dunno where you are. XD”
I’m in New York too. I’ll meet wherever. I’ll book the flight for your boyfriend. Trust me. I won’t book it to Alaska or Abu Dabi or something just so I can have a threesome. I’m totally trustworthy. Yeah… totally trustworthy. heh heh (think they’re buying this, Micah?)

Dan S.: “I still like my idea of a talk show name better. “Everybody Loves That Guy. Guy Talk gives me man show flashbacks.”
Everybody Loves That Guy gives me Everybody Loves Raymond flashbacks.
    I don’t love Raymond.
    I hate Raymond.
Hate him with the passion of a thousand exploding suns.

Bobo the Murder Duck: “wtf just happened?”
    1) Guy used his time travel powers.
    2) I might get to score with very open minded, bisexual hotties.

Bobo the Murder Duck: “I read the comic, he proposed and suddenly he’s oprah? If you’re gonna call somebody stupid at least make sure it wont backfire.”
    1) It’s called a flash forward…. stupid :)
    2) It didn’t backfire.
    3) He’s not Oprah. Oprah built him as her gift to womankind - keep up with the program….. stupid :)

Vizzy: “Omg is that Cristian-NO WAY. What did Guy do to him??”
He gave him a buzz cut, as is customary for Oklahomans as a means of apologizing for hitting someone in the face.
Or maybe he has the buzz cut for his new movie.
Nah I’m going to go with my first theory instead. It doesn’t make as much sense, but it’s much more Pander-flavourful as comments go.

JKPS613: “Bobby…you’re an ass. Seriously. You AND Micah. Both of you - total, colossal asses.”
WTF?! Where do you get off saying that!

WHAT ABOUT ME?! I frigging tried to get you arrested for crissake for auto robbery! I don’t merit even a freaking mention???
    Jerkface.

  42. wedge Says:

I love how the old school counselor is telling everyone to go see “Kill Factory”

I also love how every time I browse the comments, Bobby is ripping someone a new one

  43. Fins Says:

Namsab– with any two people other than Guy and Parker, I’d agree with you about that arrangement. But Guy’s bound to handle it amazingly, and Parker? Parker gets to DRIVE! In a city full of things to swerve around. She’s probably ecstatic.

  44. ItsMe Says:

I also found the personal driver comment a bit strange, as well as the Kill Factory movie plug.

I noticed that you left Guy’s hands out of every panel, no way to tell if he has a ring on or not.

  45. Daisy Says:

I want to buy the comic book! :D

been reading silently for the past few months. thought it was about time I said something in support.

  46. Biotite Says:

I’ve really been enjoying the comic. It’s been a great story Bobby and the artwork is well done Eisu, it’s sad that it’ll be over in a couple pages.

However, on the same note as Flynn, I did find the jump from the last page a unexpectedly abrupt. Up until now, there had been relatively short spans of time between pages, giving a nice flow and continuity from page to page. Why the sudden change? Was it to make sure you got everything in within the page limit (i.e. wrapping everything up such as showing Guy with the talk show as was mentioned in previous pages)?

Thank you. I look forward to the remaining pages of this novel and any additional short stories you do with Marry Me!

  47. Jonathan Says:

Concerning the whole talk show in a high school gymnasium thing, I guessing it was either:

    a) part of some kind of compromise with Mr. Tyler. Guy agreed to do Guy Talk on the condition that it be filmed at his school so he could remain the counceller there when the show wasn’t filming.

    b) In order to maintain Guy’s image as a cool, hip guidnce counceller who is in touch with the teenage audeince, the executive producers of the show decided to have the show filmed at a different high school every week, and Guy wanted to do the first week at his old school.

Personally, find a to be a tad more likely. Also I feel a little sorry for Guy and Ana, one of them is a hit day time talk show host the other is a multi-platinum recording artist; they’re going to have more paparzzi following them than they have blades of grass on their front lawn, or is that Denny’s new job.

  48. Wit Says:

i’d put money on that Stasia is pregnant now… depending on how much time has passed

  49. featherae Says:

Well, I would have to say that I also like the idea of where the story went from the proposal scene, but it was much too abrupt, and I’m not sure the black and white was necessary. I’m not sure it really makes sense with the rest of the novel. But anyway, I will be pre-ordering the book as soon as you allow me to. So hope it happens soon!

  50. VisionAri Says:

    @ wedge

The first rule of Marry Me Fight Club is - you do not talk about Marry Me Fight Club. The second rule of Marry Me Fight Club is - you DO NOT talk about Marry Me Fight Club.

    ;)

  51. invaderhog Says:

heh, Christian, he’s such a dork. I love that name, “Guy Talk” heh.

  52. Zig Says:

I guess I was wrong guy took the offer.

<3 the comic, i am sad that its ending soon..

  53. luvlies Says:

How come he didnt say anything about his wife? like a detication? Just wondering…

  54. bionicghost Says:

    Parker shouldn’t be his driver ;__;
    They might die!

  55. rio_uk Says:

    Are they really married? O.o

  56. Scruffy Says:

Okay, JKP, you, and the rest of the lifeless trolls and flame wars forum filth need to just stop.

    1. We have a talented writer and artist here, who provide something they aren’t charging you for to read online. Yes, they’d like you to buy the novel, see the movie, etc, but the fact is, you are still getting a look at the result of their creativity without paying for it, and they’re cool like that. Criticism when constructive is probably fine, but when you start to insult someone, or come up with ridiculous criticisms, they are well within their rights to verbally tear you into little bleeding chunks and feed you to weasels. No, they do not have to be tolerant, no they do not have to be patient, they owe you none of that polite society crap, nor do they have to tolerate your blatantly obvious lack of intellect. They owe you nothing, you ungrateful freeloading pile of genetic waste material.

    2. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe you’re trying to be in good humor (somehow), but thats not the way your message reads, and it will be taken how it reads. If you are somehow magically trying to be in good humor, fine. Learn to make it apparent in your writing and my beef with you shall vanish entirely.

    3. To thosewho would unduly criticize, try to claim they know more about a character than the creator of said character, or just go ‘duhr, this comic is teh suxxor!’ you are sad, pathetic creatures that only seem to be happy when you’re trying to bring down others. You aren’t even suitable as human sacrifices, because that would assume you have value, as that is the nature of making a sacrifice. Do you know how many points I would lose with Cthulu for handing one of you to him?

    4. Bobby, fantastic comic, sorry about my rant, but this has been an issue on every good webcomic I read. I don’t normally read romantic comedies, but yours has just been too good. I came here through no pink ponies, just to see what it was about, and found myself repeatedly coming back.

  57. Megan Rose Gedris Says:

I SO want the graphic novel!

  58. Pamela Says:

Hee hee, ‘Guy Talk’. Come on, people, you HAD to know that was coming as soon as Dad heard that over the TV and got that maniacal glint in his eye….

Anyways….*ROFLMAO* I wonder if Guy offered to pay Christian’s medical bills…from having been brought DOWN like George on Snack Food with one punch and all that…

You guys are SO Rockin’ In The Free World!!!!

  59. Alex Says:

Parker is his driver? Nothing good can come of that, I think.

  60. Josh Says:

I am also curious as to how much time has passed.

  61. Rosebud Says:

I forgot how frightening having Parker be the driver would be. All I thought was, “Driver? That’s an odd one. Surely she’d want to do more than that. Unless it gave her more time to post in the Guy Talk and Stasia forums.”

Christian was unexpected, but it’s nice to see he’s back a tooth (even if it is an implant) and things are going well for everyone.

And, yes, it would have been nice to have seen the trio in the couch mentioned in his thank yous. :)

Now we just need to see Mr. Tyler and the wedding, including Crazy Daisy.

  62. Bobby Crosby Says:

Have none of you ever seen “Entourage”? Remember Turtle?

  63. LoZ_Collector Says:

Ah what, it’s almost over already?! Not fair! This thing is ace, no two ways about it, I don’t want it to end! T_T

Wait… Parker as his driver? What in god’s name was he drinking when he signed THAT agreement?!

  64. Scruffy Says:

He said parker was his personal driver. Never actually said parker was driving him about yeah? Personally, given that Parker seems to be unkillable, I think I’d be arranging Parker to drive my enemies, that they might have a bit of an accident.

  65. Jenn Says:

    Pander.

    1.. where in NY?

2.. JERKFACE IS MY WORD, YOU JERKFACE

  66. Bobby Bally Says:

    Hey there,

This is my first time commenting on this site but I’ve reading this graphic novel for a while and may I say it’s one of my favs. It would make a great movie.

  67. norman728 Says:

Wow Again it was nice to see the others even if it’s the back of their heads.

Where was parker during this…… I know she’s the driver But, does that mean she’s like Kato ? i can totally picture her in the mask and acting as Guy’s Bodyguard.

  68. norman728 Says:

also: only 2 Pages left in the story I am so sad to see the CURRENT story end and look forward to future adventures with the gang, Maybe solving mysteries on Stasia’s Bus while receiving missions from Dad on a big view screen. all they need is a funny animal sidekick for Parker (Maybe a Monkey!)

anxiously awaiting the Graphic Novel. reading on the web is fine but having the book in hand would be even more enjoyable.

ROCK ON YOU TWO Keep Up the Funk.

  69. rio_uk Says:

“Wait… Parker as his driver? What in god’s name was he drinking when he signed THAT agreement?!”

    I’d say… blood?

  70. Melli Says:

    I love it…

  71. Sprainogre Says:

Best friend your driver, huh? lalz, sell out just a bit maybe?
*looks at what norman728 said* Although, that could work too.

  72. Leyla Says:

    Eeeeeee!
    <3
This is like, the greatest beginning of an ending for anything, EVER.
And guy looks hawt in this strip.

  73. Jimmer Says:

Definitely interested in the graphic novel. Thanks!

  74. Moira Says:

    I want one!

  75. Andrew Says:

I’m planning to buy the graphic novel when I go to comic con. You think you can put the booth number on the next update?

  76. christof Says:

Yeh I want the book! of course it’ll depend on the price if I can get it right away…

  77. Jon Pander Says:

Scruffy: “Okay, JKP, you, and the rest of the lifeless trolls and flame wars forum filth need to just stop.”
At first I thought you were talking to me, not the other guy. Then I started trying to figure out what the middle initial stood for.

    Jenn Says: “Pander.
    1.. where in NY?”
Brooklyn, baby. Brooklyn. It’s meant to be. see?

“2.. JERKFACE IS MY WORD, YOU JERKFACE”
Aw now, my sweet, no need to fight over the rights to a word. It’s all yours. You can have any word you want far as I’m concerned, but only cause you’re such a hottie. You hottie.

  78. invulove Says:

lol poor Jon Pander.. no one thinks you’re an asshole.
its ok, i think you are =]
    hugs for assholes!!
    whooooo….
    <.<
and why do so many people live in New York? blarghe…
    stupid georgia strikes out again…

  79. Jillster Says:

Yay - Denny is on the sofa with Stasia and Janny as they watch Guy’s new show! He’s still with them!

  80. NightCrystal Says:

Just have to say that I love this comic to bits. I wish I could say I’m getting the book, but alas money issues strike again. I can’t wait to see the last 2 pages.

    @Invulove- I’m from Ga. XD

  81. invulove Says:

    yay someone else from ga!
technically, i’m from FL but i live in ga right now =P
    *hugs*

  82. sharron Says:

Good, but any kind of a bridge between 88 & 89 would make the change easier - even a single ” [X] months later” (or whatever) frame so we still can have some idea of a timeline would be desirable. It definitely doesn’t have to be a whole page..

I mean: is this a month later? A year later (in which they could have kids by now)? A dream sequence?

Getting so close to the end, it just seems like this was a bit of a botch-up in an otherwise sterling presentation.

  83. Coon Says:

I just hope this doesn’t mean that this whole talk show ordeal changes Guy :p
you know how sometimes becoming a celebrity changes people…

Otherwise, can’t wait to see how this finishes out~!

  84. Tam Says:

I wonder if we will see parker on the next update

  85. Asta Says:

I’ll be ordering a copy of the graphic novel. =D

  86. Alicia Says:

lmao at the comments on this page.

This page holds second place in my heart, the first place being “Guy’s Advice.”

And Bobby…sorry about my insane “cast list.” My brain had the day off. Though I feel older than I think I should now XD

    As for Jon and Jenn…hm…somewhere in the middle indeed. The new of you in NY, Jenn’s bf in IL and lil’ ol’ me in WI. Jon, could I bring my boyfriend if I bring another cute girl too? Make this an all-out group thing? Hm… Although I’d love for the excuse to visit NY again, I don’t have the funds @_@;;

Oh, and Jon, your comments still rock my socks off, but I have to give kudoes to the peep who wished Bobby would rip someone a new one. As for the pictures…hm…I’ll think about it…meh, I hate images of myself though. Wait, do you facebook?

  87. Alicia Says:

Instead of new, I meant two

Instead of “Guy’s Advice” I meant to say “Marry Me”

Also, I forgot to say that I agree with Jon…we finally discovered Guy’s flaw!! He’s suicidal XD

  88. Ethan Says:

Wow, the way you drew Guy in the second to last panel makes me realize how much he looks like Trauma Center’s Dr. Stiles with stubble. It’s been a great comic, hoping once you’re done we’ll see more Last Blood. Keep up the good work.

  89. Calia Says:

To the people complaining about the sudden time shift… have you never actually WATCHED a romantic comedy? That’s a movie device that’s been around longer than I’ve been alive, as far as I know. And not just in romantic comedies, either; I can probably name 20 movies off the top of my head that do that, and I hate watching movies. Think, people, think!

To whoever was saying that the “black and white was unnecessary, didn’t mesh with the rest of the comic” or whatever, you must be totally retarded and unable to read the blog post.

  90. Lulu Says:

So I loved this graphic novel, up to this point here.
I guess I’m confused why Guy would leave a job he loved to do a tv talk show?? Buying into the big money? I’m somewhat disapproving. Other than that I love this story and find it fun, entertaining and funny! Thanks for sharing it so far!

  91. Katosu Says:

    Good comic :D

    Aside:
The real reason I chose to add a comment-
    I’m also from Ga. <-<

I noticed the New York thing too, only more so with my online-friends than those who comment.

  92. Norman Says:

I haven’t seen anybody comment on the first panel, looking past (at least) three people on a couch watching Guy Talk.

Just judging from the hair styles (or lack thereof), I’m guessing Denny, Anastasia, and Janny, and we’ll probably be pulling the camera back from the TV on the next page for some words from Anastasia and Janny.

I won’t try to predict anything in regards to the last page, as Bobby’s plot-fu is clearly too powerful (and twisted) for me to even try. I’ll just have to be pleasantly surprised.

  93. Norman Says:

Oops. I sit corrected. Jillster noticed them, too.

  94. Amber Says:

I’ve followed this from the beginning and I must say Im starting to get sad that its almost over with. Two more pages yes and maybe a few more comics after wards but it wont be the same :( Oh well Im excited too.

Guy Talk - LOVE! I wish there was some more guy talk lol.

  95. Depth Charge Says:

I could see this as being a deal with her father. Guy keeps all his money from the show to support him and his new wife and the family; plus Stasia wins since she can now give all her money to charity since she wanted to give/do more than she already does so it’s a win-win for everyone’s goals.

It’s all shaping up to be a fantastic ending.

  96. LissaBee Says:

I don’t see a ring on that finger!

  97. Jenn Says:

Hey, WI is one of the quyad states, hm?

    Lets meet in Chicago? LOL

    I Love this page btw,

  98. Jenn Says:

    @ PANDER

    In response to

    “Jenn Says: “Pander.
    1.. where in NY?”
Brooklyn, baby. Brooklyn. It’s meant to be. see?

“2.. JERKFACE IS MY WORD, YOU JERKFACE”
Aw now, my sweet, no need to fight over the rights to a word. It’s all yours. You can have any word you want far as I’m concerned, but only cause you’re such a hottie. You hottie.”

… Are you coming on to me? lolz, fiance doesn’t like it… He’s possessive..

    XD

I’m in upstate NY btw, as you’ve probably seen on my myspace.

  99. bionicghost Says:

Christian hair has obiously flattened unto his skull… for obious reasons… of… obiousity.
    Yeah.

  100. Lex Says:

Couple quick comments about the comic in general, then some comments about the last few installments.

First, I’m not usually one for romantic comedies since they’ve been played out so badly in the last few years. And while this one had its flaws, I think there is a seriously workable story here. There’s plenty of opportunity to add something new to the genre, which is sorely needed, let’s face facts.

As to some of the more recent updates, until I saw the colorized version, I seriously thought Daisy would be blonde and have a severe case of Southern belle-ness. Now she seems like 80’s-est person to have ever walked the earth.

While you say that Mr. Tyler is an unlikeable prick, you’ve actually made him a very interesting character. He’s anger in unconscionable but it is understandable. He wants to do what’s right, but he’s in a bad position to figure out exactly what that is. He’s too emotionally involved to think rationally, and raising a daughter is one of the most emotionally painful things that a father can do anyway. On top of that, he’s desperately running away from an unhappy past, rather than running toward a happy future. I’ve dealt with people like that before, so it was very humanizing.

Similarly, despite all his anger and protectiveness and desperation to keep his family from a life he doesn’t want them to go through, his moment where he shook Guy’s hand does show one thing: if you’ve got balls, you’ve got his respect. And what Guy did makes me think his perma-stubble is the result of his facial hair being pulled out by the gravity from his HUGE BALLS!!

Also, I caught the subtle reference with Christian there. TV stars who want to start a career in movies almost invariably end up doing horror flicks. Very slick.

That said, I’m going to guess that it’s been about a year or so since the events in the hospital, possibly a year-and-a-half. Christian has a new movie coming out and they’re wrapping the first week of Guy’s talk show, all of which takes time to produce. Am I far off.

  101. Elisa Says:

I’d say my favorite part of this page is that Guy’s response to “Thanks for punching me in the face” is “Any time”. Methinks Guy is not so fond of Christian x3

  102. Valerie Says:

I want it! Pick me! pick me!!!

  103. invulove Says:

i feel like the bi girl left out T_T

  104. Zhilbar Says:

I for one will definitely buy the graphic novel. It’s been a great run so far, and I look forward to giving you my money to get it in hard copy!

(I keep waiting for a WOWIO 4th installment in the meantime, just to add that extra little assist.)

  105. Tristan Says:

Heh! The only other thing I love more than the comic is reading Pander, Jenn and Alicia’s comments. They are almost as a second plotline in here. :P

  106. Bobby Crosby Says:

“I guess I’m confused why Guy would leave a job he loved to do a tv talk show??”

Why do you think the show’s being filmed at the high school where he works? He didn’t leave his job. He’s doing both. Look at Ryan Seacrest, jeez.

“it just seems like this was a bit of a botch-up”

That’s because you’ve never seen a movie apparently. Try watching some movies and you’ll be able to find somewhere around a trillion identical situations where they cut ahead long periods of time without any kind of announcement or warning.

Also, I don’t care in any way how far in the future this is. Totally pointless.

  107. Xuthos Says:

Hmm. Maybe Parker will marry that dorky kid that hangs out with Mr. Tyler…

  108. handgunman Says:

    guy is magic,

There is no other explanation for why someone would be thanking him for punching him in the face

    Ever

    at all

    The crap?!

  109. Walton Says:

I like the comic. It’s cute. It has a Hollywood movie feel to it which is what you were going for, I guess, so good job. I do have to say that Guy in this comic talks like a talk-show host but not like he was speaking before. He seemed cautious and thoughtful before but now he’s very extrovert and glib and performing. Slight tone change that was a bit off-putting. But in the movies these sorts of moves are normal–heroes are always fabulous at their jobs.

  110. Lizz Says:

Count me in as a buyer for the book, please.

  111. Mate Says:

Sorry Bobby, but I keep my fingers crossed for this page to be a (bad) daydream. Guy seems to be awfully ordinary. The whole situation is too strange, too artificial. Or maybe its just my disgust of TV shows, and the page is OK.

  112. taotu Says:

Sad to hear the comic’s ending, I quite like it. :) You’re going to Comic Con? Do you know what booth you’ll be at yet?

  113. Bobby Crosby Says:

    Blatnt Comics, Booth #1328.

  114. Bartimaeus Says:

Congratulations, and thanks for a GREAT webcomic. I’ll be sure to download the 4th WOWIO book! [when it appears]

  115. Mel-C Says:

It’s nice to see things are turning out nicely for Guy and everyone :D I’m glad Mr. Tyler actually took the kids’ ‘advice’ ^^

  116. Melli Says:

your edit says color up, but I still see black and white… is this some kind of error?

  117. Alicia Says:

    @invulove–It’s okay, I love you anyway :D

    “Tristan Says:

    *glomps j00*

  118. Eisu Says:

“your edit says color up, but I still see black and white… is this some kind of error?”

    Just refresh the page.

  119. Angus the cat Says:

I still don’t understand why Christian is thanking him for punching him in the face… Excellent line, though, and I apologize if someone’s already asked this question.

  120. Dave Says:

I love the fact that Guy’s wearing that black shirt; I’m wearing one very like it at the moment - and I sometimes wear a yellow tie with it too. Of course I don’t look so cool as Guy…

I totally get why Guy’s doing the show. Why shouldn’t he make money? Is he supposed to live off Ana? But however much money it pays, Guy would only take a job where he’s helping people. Which he is; his show is getting his good advice to far more people than he could possibly help in person.

And it’s good for Ana too - her fans can now see she’s not just married some random guy, but Guy, who is awesome.

I don’t get why Christian is grateful for having been punched though. Maybe it’s just because Guy is awesome.

    @ Scruffy - don’t feed the trolls.

  121. Scruffy Says:

A fair point abut feeding the trolls Dave. Also, I think the reason that christian is thanking guy is because maybe that punch in the face brought him down to earth.

Arrogance is never good in the career world, and I doubt that when breaking into the movies from TV, it is helpful either, and it is amazing how much humility being knocked in the face can bring about.

  122. Bobby Crosby Says:

What’s all this talk about Christian breaking into movies from TV??? There’s never been a mention of him ever being on TV and from the start (Page 1) he was described as the star of the #1 movie in the country. He’s never done TV — he’s been a huge movie star for many years.

  123. featherae Says:

“Calia Says: To whoever was saying that the ‘black and white was unnecessary, didn’t mesh with the rest of the comic’ or whatever, you must be totally retarded and unable to read the blog post.”

Now that was really very unnecessary. I can’t believe you are being so childish. I was making that comment as a constructive criticism. Obviously that was just an opinion, not a fact, and I’m sure that the two artists of this novel are very good with criticism because you have to be as an artist. I know, I am one. It can be very helpful. And I do know that other movies of a small amount have used that technique before. I guess that I was just expecting something a little bit more. And that is a major compliment to the artists of this novel. Otherwise they have gone above and beyond my expectations and there is nothing better than that. And no, something was wrong with my page and there was no blog post when I wrote that, so now the page isn’t even what I assumed it would end up as. See, they continue to astound me. I guess I should have expected other readers who (I’m assuming) don’t do art themselves to not be able to see a statement like that as helpful instead of stupid and maybe have a little more faith in society. Well, I thank both Bobby and Eisu for understanding many of the comments on their page, and applaud them for now brewing over with annoyance every time someone makes rude comments like that.

  124. Scruffy Says:

My mistake then Bobby, I must have misread somethng. Still, a punch in the face can result in a whole newoutlook. Especially if it is a hard punch.

  125. Evil713 Says:

um, i do not wish to be rude, or cause problems, but to recomend in a way maybe just add a small text box normally found in other comics saying somehing like “several months later”. please done hit me.

  126. irrevenant Says:

I have to agree that the Christian turnaround is COMPLETELY out of the blue. Even if a year has passed there should be some indication as to the cause.

Hopefully it’ll be made clearer in the movie.
